The Warriors currently have 12 games left in thew regular season. This is somewhat of a relief with the early sense of seeming nirvana and the recent up's and down's. The Playoffs are less than a month away (deep breaths.) A first round opponent is likely to be Denver, LAC, or Memphis, and I'm really hoping for the Clippers, but getting beyond that point. It looks more and more likely Denver or Memphis will fill that slot which bodes trouble for The Warriors. It may sound unsettling, but a drop to the 7 to face the Thunder may be a better chance to move out of the first round than facing Denver or Memphis, but at that point optimism becomes nothing but unprovoked hope.
So in the sense of positive wishes I was looking at the remaining 12 games and trying to get a sense of where the Warriors might finish and which games will have an effect on their standings. So I figured I'd let any wishful readers to sit along and be my audience while I digress.
3/23 vs. Washington - W
3/25 vs. LAL Pau and Kobe back, L
3/27 vs. Sacramento - W. Tempted to say L because it's Sacramento, but in Oracle, W
3/30 vs. Portland - Their chaos engine has been running on fumes which Maynor has helped stabilizem but at home this will be a good W
4/3 vs. NO - Eric Gordon's availibility is always up in there, so that'll have an effect, but W
4/5 @ PHX - This team always gives the Warriors weird issues, eventhough the last matchup turned into a blowout. Either way they'll be tanking strong by then for the home crowd, W
4/7 vs. Utah - Utah is on a downward spiral and they are just heading to their offseason franchise reset and their 2 upcoming picks. Also, W or L doesn't help those picks, so no added motivation. W
4/9 vs Minnesota - Love could be back by then and that could have a big impact, but I'll say W
4/11 vs. OKC - Optimism really has me wanting to say W especially after the previous paragraph, so I'll go out on a limb and W
4/12 @LAL - in LA, hard to call a sweer to the Lakers, but L
4/15 vs. SA - i'll call this a W out of optimism and the possibility Pop rests some players
4/17 @ Portland - Finish the season off with a W.
SO I have them going 10-2 and am just now realizing this were my optimism stands.. Although SA/OKC could very well be losses, I'll go with 8-4 at worst and 10-2 at best.
