If so I envision a quiet beneficial offseason. After the playoffs, we should give Jefferson to the Lakers. They would also receive Ben Gordon, Jeff Taylor, and Portland's 1st rounder from Charlotte. We should give the Lakers two 2nd rounders and Charlotte should also. Going to Charlotte would be Pau Gasol and Duhon. All teams benefit, especially Charlotte which jumpstarts their franchise while keeping Walker, MKG, Biyombo, and their natural high pick which would likely be Muhammad, Zeller, Bennett, or McLemore. And this is the type of return the Lakers would like for Pau while being compensated for Duhon the salary matcher in the deal. Jefferson can retire in 2014 or take a pay cut and enjoy further seasons on his storied hometown franchise.
