Not sure what the landscape would be with the Celtics now after what would seem to be the trading of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, but as of this moment, they have two PFs on their roster in Bass and Kris Humphries.
Since I'm assuming there's not much chance they'll be able to move Humphries and he's in the final year of his deal, I'm wondering if they'd consider trading Bass, who isn't exactly cheap, but at a bit over $13 million over two years, I'm wondering if the Warriors would consider somehow trying to get him.
And since I don't know a ton about cap space, luxury tax and such, would it seem a decent deal for the Celtics to take either Beidrins or RJeff for Bass so that their 2014 has even more cap space freed up? They'd take on extra money this year, but then have about $7 million more free in 2014.
In any case, Landry and Bass seem, to me, to have similar games, although I believe Bass doesn't have much in the way of post moves. I believe he has a quickness advantage on the perimeter, though. Looks like Bass's numbers aren't all that great, and I thought he was a better rebounder, but I can't help but think he'd do well enough off the bench. He'd be overpaid and would take up cap room for 2014, but if that strengthens the bench, would it be worth it?
Feel free to shoot me down...like I said, random thought.
