Free-agent guard Toney Douglas reached an agreement to play for the Golden State Warriors, his agent, David Falk, told USA TODAY Sports.
The deal is for one year, $1.6 million.
Douglas started last season with the Houston Rockets and finished it with the Sacramento. He averaged 7.5 points, 2.1 assists, 1.9 rebounds and one steal per game last season.
Douglas, 27, is a decent three-point shooter and on-ball defender and will provide depth for the Warriors, who lost guard Jarrett Jack to the Cleveland Cavaliers in free agency,
A score-first point guard, Douglas began his career with the New York Knicks in 2009-10 and had his best season in 2010-11 when he averaged 10.6 points off the bench for the Knicks.
Here's hoping he picks up where he left off with Knicks. Could be a pretty good pickup. We'll see.
