I just wanted to point this out to everyone, since I read over it almost without noticing, then I thought, holy sh**, we're a lock for the postseason.
I keep hearing from L.A. fans assuring me this is a playoff team. Really? Take a look at the Western Conference: The Clippers, Spurs, Thunder, Grizzlies, Rockets, and Warriors are locks, barring catastrophic injuries.
That's from Zach Lowe's offseason winners and losers article at Grantland, where the Dubs are rated as "Winners, with a caveat." In a nice bit of bonus f*** you, the quote comes from the paragraph where he's talking sh** about the Lakers.
These are good times.
He does point out how thin we are on the front line, and projects us at a six seed. I'm feeling top four myself—Spurs, Clips, Thunder, us, in some order. I think the Rockets won't be as good as predicted, and I think the Grizzlies will take a step back.
Mostly though, I just wanted to point out this fact: the Ws are being described as a lock for the playoffs. Who knew this day would come so quickly?
