Rumors are circulating that 76ers are attempting to trade Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes. They are in full tank mode and looking forward to next year's loaded draft class. While Pelicans look to free up the logjam at the guard spot by offering Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon. On the other hand, Warriors are still on the look-out for a back up big man.
I tried a three way on trade machine and it worked:
Sixers get: Evans, Speights, Oneal, Nedovic, Kuzmic, Bazemore.
Pelicans get: Evan Turner. They get some breathing room at guard spot and save 5 million!
Warriors get: Spencer Hawes.
Spencer Hawes will be a good back-up for Bogut. He is a good 3 pt. and FT shooter. Can stretch the floor and while not a stout defender, he's still a 7 footer. They don't grow on trees. Nedo, Kuzmic, Bazemore and Speights are non-performing assets. Oneal is an injury waiting to happen.
Another possible trade is between GSW and 76ers for Thaddeus Young. Young also makes sense for GSW if they are going small ball. It will be like last year with DLEE and Landry up front. Young is an upgrade over Landry and is athletic. To make it happen Dubs has to give up: Speights, Ezeli (or Oneal), Nedo, Kuzmic and Bazemore. Warriors are in win now mode and either of this two trade scenarios is tantalizing.
Personally, I prefer the Young trade since he is only 25, very young (sorry, can't resist). He can also play small forward in combination with DLEE and Bogut. Young has already requested a trade since he is not in the 76ers future plans. Although, the Pelicans prefer to ship Turner and Hawes first, maybe Myers can use his magic again.
