These are two names that make the most sense to me being a Warriors fan. Both of these guys can be had for cheap, and both guys can absolutely score. We obviously need scoring for our second unit and Tony Douglas and Bazemore don't exactly inspire confidence. We have really no scorers for our 2nd unit as Harrison Barnes has been somewhat of a disappointment to me in his inability to lead the 2nd unit. We have too many mediocre shooters in our 2nd unit, nobody that we can legitimately rely upon.
I say Fredette and Pierre Jackson because they can be had for cheap. I would say that defensively as a 2nd unit we are pretty solid, and this would help cover up any defensive liabilities that Jackson or Fredette would create. Fredette is gone out of Sacramento at the end of the year, and Jackson just obtained permission to seek a trade from Pelican's D League team. I think all they would cost is a 2nd round draft pick, a D league prospect, or a bench player of similar value that we don't need as much. Maybe a Tony Douglas or Bazemore trade straight-up if possible, or maybe package a 2nd round pick in there?
I disagree with trading for Hinrich, I don't believe he provides enough offensive value to our 2nd unit. We need points from our bench, period.
