As described by Satchel Price of SB Nation after Game 3, Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry felt he was fouled by L.A. Clippers guard Chris Paul on the final play as he attempted a game-winning three.
Marcus Thompson got a quote about the play from Rod Thorn, who essentially said the non-call was the correct call.
Got a quote from Rod Thorn, NBA President of Basketball Ops about Stephen Curry's last shot in Game 3: "That was an incredibly tough call...— Marcus Thompson (@ThompsonScribe) April 26, 2014
Thorn: "and a great example of what makes the job of the referee so difficult. The referees felt it was marginal contact and upon review..."— Marcus Thompson (@ThompsonScribe) April 26, 2014
Thorn: "I saw nothing that would dispute that. So I thought it was a good no call."— Marcus Thompson (@ThompsonScribe) April 26, 2014
Although Warriors fans will certainly be frustrated by that statement due to the league's statement about Draymond Green's foul on Paul near the end of Game 1 of this series, it was actually more frustrating to watch Washington Wizards star John Wall draw a foul after similar contact on a desperation heave at the end of last night's game against the Chicago Bulls.
That's the foul Chris Paul didn't get last night in Oakland. Correct call.— Matt Zemek (@mzemek) April 26, 2014
