Sorry, M JAX

I would like to apologize to Mark Jackson, not that he is listening. It irks me that the GoldenState Warriors chief sideline reporter, Rick Bucher, waited until after MJax was fired to tell the truth about what was going on with the owner. Shameful pandering to your bosses, Bucher. Had he the guts to report just how insanely micromanaging and destructive Joe Lacob is/was, I would not have dissed Jackson for things that were not his fault. The podcast discussion between Bucher and Bill Simmons was revelatory. I read a fair amount and I had never seen it put together in quite this way.

For instance, the obvious move of Lee to the bench and Barnes into the starting rotation couldn't happen because of Lee's position in the owner's pecking order.I am even beginning to understand MJax overuse of Christian persecution metaphors, as Jesus' original intent was to use revolutionary code words,I think MJax did the same.

Lacob burned every asset the Ws had in a furious attempt to be instantly relevant, wasting amnesties to Charlie Bell and every draft pick they had to try to get DeAndreJordan (fail) and an over-rated and disappointing Andre Iguodala, who has failed miserably as GWs third option.

Simmons, whose historical perspective on the NBA is well known, pointed out that Lacob is right where Mark Cuban was five years ago- micromanaging, annoying, pouty and unreasonable.Cuban interfered with the team for years until he finally learned that an owners; best move is top hire people you trust and get out of their way. Cuban did that with Rick Carlisle and got his ring.

I am afraid we GSW fans will have to wait those five years as well. If they can get Love out of Mpls without selling the farm (Lee plus Barnes or Lee plus Iggy, but NOT Klay or Draymond), maybe Kerr has a chance. But with Lacob's ego being the size it is, I am not optimistic he could accept someone else getting the credit for success (such as he could not with Jackson).

So, sorry, MJax, I hope you enjoy spending Lacob's $ while you call games for ESPN. The only thing now that I can really fault him for is his Christian homophobia.
