Instead of the rumored, Kevin Love + Kevin Martin for David Lee + Klay Thompson deal, how about swapping Martin for Corey Brewer? I would prefer Brewer over Martin anyday because if Love is gonna be stretching the Defense out to the 3, Brewer is more adept at driving the basket than Martin.
If Love is gonna be at the 3 point line, his defender either has to go out to the 3 and risk leaving the paint open, allowing for ball movement and open lanes for Brewer to drive in, or his defender guards the paint and let him shoot the 3. Either way, I see high scoring potential.
Also, don't forget that Brewer is also a very good perimeter defender and has great hands and can steal the ball exceptionally well, so he can supplement the defense lost in Klay. It's interesting to note that Brewer averaged less TO's, and PF's, and had higher FG %, STL's and BLK's in almost as many minutes as Klay.
Keep in mind, he also provides the type of defense that Martin can't.
Example of one of his steals:

Though Klay is probably a better defender than Brewer, Brewer is a much better defender than Martin. Not to mention, but he is also younger than Martin and is on a cheaper contract than him as well.
Brewer works best in transition and would go perfect with outlet passes from Love, Curry, Iguodala, Bogut, etc. In Minnesota, Corey Brewer was Kevin Love's number one outlet pass receiver, so having both of them working in tandem like that here sounds more appealing than having Kevin Martin chucking threes from the outside.
A little funky mix of some of Kevin Love's outlet passes featuring many to Corey Brewer:

Also not to forget, he did drop 51 on Houston last season, so he CAN get buckets.

Overall, if we HAVE to give up Klay in a trade, how about we get Brewer instead of Martin in the deal, huh?
But hey, enough from me,
Lacob, make it happen.
