Tonight on NBA TV at 6 p.m. PST will be the last live NBA basketball of any kind that you'll see until about October.
It's the summer league championship and the Golden State Warriors won't be there to defend their title, but it's basketball. And we supposedly like actual basketball played on an actual court around here.
Nobody seems to know what the Sacramento Kings are doing with their regular season roster, but at least they'll have a shot at calling themselves summer league champions for a year. The Houston Rockets have been on everyone's list of losers in free agency, but have some young talent in Isaiah Canaan, Nick Johnson, and Donatas Motiejunas who have led them to the cusp of Vegas immortality.
This is your summer league championship. Enjoy.
