Recently on Twitter, Monte Poole tweeted some insider info that Luke Walton would indeed be promoted to be the next assistant head coach of the Golden State Warriors.
Being told that #Warriors will in fact stay in-house with coaching moves & promote Luke Walton & Jarron Collins. TBA very soon.

While most of us suspected that he would in fact be promoted, some were intrigued by other options such as Brian Shaw and Mike D'Antoni to name a couple.
Twitter response has been fairly cool towards Walton but also some people have maybe expressed doubt if he is the right choice?
@MontePooleCSN @timkawakami Walton ready to be 1st assistant?

Also, the nature of the beast that is the HC position in professional basketball requires us to be forward thinking about the future of the coaching staff. I mean, if we keep winning, people are going to keep poaching our staff, right?
One thing w/the logical promotion of Luke Walton: Kerr better have somebody to replace HIM next summer. Walton's destined for a top job.

What is your overall reaction to Luke Walton being the assistant coach? Does he inspire confidence in you? Can he adjust on the fly as quickly as Alvin Gentry could? Is Luke in fact in his last year with the Warriors, soon to be a head coach of his own team?
