It’s about being smart with my ankle. There’s no point in trying to get ready for October 1st, when another week could significantly help. I’m trying to get ready for camp, but my main goal is for the first game of the season to be 110 percent.

— Andrew Bogut appears to be iffy for the start of training camp. How iffy he is for the season opener of course remains to be seen. Clearly, without a healthy Bogut in the fold, much of the optimism that has surrounded the team this offseason dissipates rather quickly. As of now, there really is no Plan B for center, unless you like the idea of starting (a) Biedrins, (b) the 30th pick in the draft, or (c) a defensively horrific pair of 6'-8" power forwards in Lee + Landry. Is it time to kick the tires on Birdman Andersen, at least as a stopgap?

On the first day of #NBArank, Kent Bazemore (#499) and Festus Ezeli (#429) appear on the list. Not to disparage any other Warriors, but it surprises me that Ezeli (and Bazemore to some extent) appear before a certain other Warrior who once played in Israel.

I don't think he'll settle for less before the season starts. It's a risk for both sides. If he has a great season, he'll get more obviously. But if he has a bad season or gets injured again he won't even get close to this "lowball" offer. Let's see. (looks like J-RIDAH posted this as a FanShot as well)

ESPN is reporting that the Warriors have finalized a deal with Brandon Rush for 2 years at $4million dollars. The second year is a player option. At first glace it would appear that the Warriors are interested in short term putting together a solid team, but are not mortgaging their future beyond 2013/2014, where David Lee is the only player guaranteed salary beyond that term.
