All Star Voting

Hey yall...voting has started for the 2008 All Stars.  We need to get Baron and company to New Orleans next year! You can place one vote a day.  So you can open a bunch of email addresses and put in an unlimited number of votes.  If we all start now, there's no telling how many votes we'll get.
You could even embed a ballot onto your myspace page so you wouldn't even have to log on to NBA.com.  Check it out.

One Dub!

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

where have you been this whole time??? voting started like weeks ago... but yah, I would love to see if GSOM can make a dent in the all-star voting. Let's start a movement to vote a Warrior in, perhaps Baron or Monta?

All Star game
I was thinking about posting on this topic.  I really want to see Baron make it to the game this year.  Its been way too long since a Warrior has made an All Star game, and I think Baron really deserves it.  Heres a link by the way http://www.nba.com/allstar2008/asb/eng/ballot.html

All fanboyishness aside
The main thing is: He really deserves it.

Really, right now he deserves not just  a spot on the team, but the starting spot, ahead of Nash, CP3, TP, and Deron.

I'd go so far as to say (and did say in the game thread) that he's currently playing like the fourth most-dominant player in the NBA. If I had to make a Top 5...

  1. LeBron James (by a pretty wide margin)
  2. Kevin Garnett
  3. Dwight Howard
  4. Baron Davis
  5. Chris Paul
(Duncan should probably be on there, but there've been a lot of games where he's really been second fiddle to TP or Manu).

Then again, the game is about popularity, not actual value, so if we want BD to be there, we better start stuffing that ballot box...

Charles Barkley
Tonight on TNT, when CP3 was on the show, Barkley said that he wouldn't put BD above CP3 or DWill on his list of PGs. Typical Barkley. Still a Warrior hater. Let that be our inspiration, and prove him wrong!

I could see
CP3 getting the start over BD, but DWill?  HUH?  Deron Williams is playing alright, but he's not even close to being better than Baron.

his chances will skyrocket
if the dubs find a way to stretch this 5 game win streak to 10 games.  That way he'll have frontpage articles about him in every major sports publications.
Best duo since...

Guys
my opinion, I´d LOVE to watch Baron Davis at the All Star Game, but on the other hand, if the Dubs keep playing at this pace, man... they would love a week of total rest and a trip to the Bahamas to relax and re energize for the post ASG run.
F**K REFS!!!
