A little motivation for your week

Watching this video makes me thankful to have Stephen Curry. He is destined for greatness.

NBA's first flopping penalty

I swear, if Paul is not in this list after last nights game, there is something wrong with the system.

Toronto Yard Sale: Turn Right on Eastern Ave.

Players of Interest: -Amir Johnson -Landry Fields -Kyle Lowry -DJ Augustin Apparently the Raptors are aiming super low for the Wiggins pick, thus a firesale except for Valanciunas. I especially like Kyle Lowry as a backup PG. He has a knack of driving to the lane and is a pretty good assist guy. Last year averaged: 11pts/3reb/8assist. I am also VERY intrigued by Amir Johnson. He's a phenomenal defensive player (in that he changes shots), and can score on the post. His only downside as a big is that he's not that great of a rebounder. Not sure who we'd give up, but I think TD will have to be in the conversation and probably at least a 2nd rounder. I wouldn't mind if Speights and/or Kuz is in the mix.

Most Disliked Warrior (by me)- Speights

It's been a couple of seasons since I disliked anyone on the team. I think Speights is going to fill that role. His ball stopping 18 foot jumpers look terrible and he's not not providing much rim protection. Hopefully Barnes takes his minutes and Speights is anchored to the bench.

Bogut contract "analysis"

I don't think the idea behind the article is a bad one -- we've all discussed Bogut's contract and the risk involved, and it's pretty easy to point out how it could go poorly. However, I don't think this was particularly well-written, and I made a comment on a point I feel misrepresented the situation immensely.

The West's New Showtime The Long Rangers

Finally, the conversation turns to their favorite shooting drills. One in particular stands out: Shoot three-pointers from around the arc until you miss two in a row. "Almost every shot is a pressure shot," Thompson explains. Curry's high last year is impressive: 76. Indeed, when this became public knowledge last spring, there was much amazement among fans. It seemed otherworldly. Seventy-six NBA three-pointers without missing two in a row? And yet here we find a surprise. Asked his high, Thompson smiles. "I hit 122 last year," he says. "Right there on that far basket." He points to a nearby hoop. Seated next to him, Curry shakes his head in admiration. And then the best three-point shooter in the history of the NBA looks down at his feet. Says Curry, "I'm almost embarrassed by my number now." *SOURCE: Warriors coach Mark Jackson, last spring. Accuracy: hotly debated.
