GSoM Community Guidelines

The Golden State of Mind community is comprised of some of the most intelligent, passionate, and friendly hoops fans you'll find anywhere. GSoM will always be a family show and readers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.

Let's strive to keep GSoM fun for everyone by sticking to these simple guidelines:

Keep it clean: Try to keep profanity to a minimum. Because of the emotions involved with sports, especially a fast paced one like basketball, there are undoubtedly going to be circumstances where swearing is completely natural. Like when this happened:

It's completely understandable why you would post: "HOLY $%&@!! WE WON!!" after JRich came through in the clutch. That's fine. Use your best judgment about swearing.

Keep it friendly: Personal attacks on other community members are completely unacceptable. There's simply no need to write things like "You're an idiot". If you don't agree with someone deconstruct their ideas, don't say destructive things about them.

Keep it Conscious: Racist, sexist, or homophobic comments are never acceptable at any time on GSoM. The GSoM community is just as diverse as the Bay Area. R-E-S-P-E-C-T

If you want to have a potty mouth, engage in online flame wars, or post ignorant things, unfortunately there are plenty of places for you on the web. Golden State of Mind is not one of them and it never will be.

 Consequences for Violating GSoM's Community Guidelines
You will be immediately reported the Fun Police authorities and you will be banished from GSoM forever!

 Remember, Golden State of Mind is a community and everyone here is rooting for the same squad. We're all on the same team so treat everyone like your teammates.
