Blog Buddy: Denver Stiffs
Warriors fans know that going into Denver and walking away with a win hasn't been an easy task in recent memory, but thanks to some key Nugget injuries the Dubs had an opportunity to make it five losses in a row for Denver, and they took advantage. Thanks to some impressive performances from Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and others, this one was basically a blow out until Mark Jackson sent in all the young pups late in the fourth quarter and watched them let most of the big lead slip away. Hit the Jump for some Quarter Notes and tonight's Warrior Wonder.

Blog Buddy: Welcome to Loud City
This is what NBA basketball is all about. The Thunder have the best record in the league and the Warriors brought their very best game tonight. THe Warriors didn't walk away victorious, but sometimes a L feels like a W.
Jump for the 22nd recap of the season!
Recap #21: Golden State Warriors 106, Sacramento Kings 114 - Rotation Sensation? Meh, We'll See...
For the second time this week the Warriors faced off with their Nor-Cal rivals(?) the Sacramento Kings, and for the second time this week the fate of the team was in the hands of the second unit, while the starters looked on from the bench in the fourth quarter. The subs came through again making up for a poor third quarter from the starters with a fourth quarter push to force overtime. Unfortunately, by riding the second unit hard in the fourth and leaving the starters to get cold and stiff on the bench Coach Jackson had painted himself into somewhat of a corner when faced with an overtime period. The team fell apart in OT and the Kings walked away with the crown in the intense battle of the irrelevant NBA franchises in northern California. Hit the jump for a big picture breakdown of this game, and a look at Mark Jackson's handling of the rotations.
Recap #20: Golden State Warriors 119, Utah Jazz 101 - 71 points in the 2nd half, More from Media Credential Land
Well, so much for my infatuation with the Utah Jazz franchise. With the Jazz backcourt depleted, without the services of Raja Bell, Devin Harris, and Earl Watson, the Warriors took advantage and outscored the Jazz 71-55 in the 2nd half. It was the Dubs' first blowout win since last April 2011, when there were two against the Portland Trail Blazers (thanks to our very own Nate Parham for the find).
Here's another Media Credential Experience for you to digest...

Well, someone's got to win.

What happens when two of the worst teams in the league square off? Well, someone's got to win. Even if it's not smart.
JUMP for the 19th recap of this lockout-shortened season!
Recap #18: OKC Thunder 120, Golden State Warriors 109 - A Great Team Getting Better vs A Bad Team Going Nowhere?
Final Box Score | GameThread (1030+ comments) | Links
We all knew beating the Thunder would be a tall order, but despite getting crushed on the boards and at the free throw line, the Warriors were somehow able to hang around until OKC shut the door in the fourth quarter. We all know what they did wrong, but I don't want to start my weekend by beating a dead horse, so jump to take a look at what the Warriors did right. Yes, this will be a short recap...
Recap #15: Indiana Pacers 94, Golden State Warriors 91 - Monta Ellis goes too late again, history repeating itself
Game Thread (900+ comments)
Sensory overload on the last critical play here. Sooo many things to talk about. But before I do that, let me preface by saying it's hard not to be too scathing on the Warriors and their basketball operations -- I'm talking from the top at Joe Lacob and Jerry West down to the assistant coaches, because I feel like history is repeating itself.
Where do we begin? First, the "blown" kicked ball. Because I hire refs for my league all the time and one of our Vegas tournament refs is now an actual NBA official (Tre Maddox), I can tell you that there was no referee in the exact same position as the replay camera, so no human referee, in the areas on the court where they were supposed to be, could have seen the ball actually getting kicked. It was such a quick-reflex play, no referee on this planet would have blown the whistle.

Recap #14: Nets 107 Warriors 100 - Tank runs dry too soon for break even road trip
Box Score | Game Thread | TSN Recap
Please excuse the interlude. The regularly scheduled recap will resume shortly.
The Internet is a fascinating thing. It's a tool for communication, research and entertainment. Without it, one could not immediately see photographic evidence of the uncanny resemblance between Warriors rookie Charles Jenkins and Barksdale enforcer Wee-Bey Brice.

Separated at birth?
Bar bets about who the best rookie three-point shooter was (ok, you might have know that one anyhow) or which rookie had the highest punting average in NFL history might forever go unsettled. We might never know the answer to such questions as 'whatever became of Philip Michael Thomas?' It can bring us images both beautiful and repulsive. And while it holds fantastic utility at times, at others, it seems almost completely useless and inane. It can bring out fabulous dialog filled with intelligent debate and insight as well as the predictable base devolution of communication one might expect from such an inclusive tool. All of our lives would be significantly different without it.
Potential legislation has the potential to change aspects of the Internet. How much? In what ways? It is not entirely clear from the bills as written, but I for one would rather be sure than have poorly designed laws forced upon us. As a small part in preventing this, I urge all of you who reside in the USA to investigate SOPA and PIPA and to contact your legislative representatives, making sure that they understand the implications of their legislation.
At the very least, I urge you to learn a bit more about it yourselves. SBNation has summarized their position and opinion of the legislative movements in this statement (a statement I had zero part in crafting or publishing). It is not the only valid opinion but it is certainly worth reading.
OK, off my soap box and on to basketball after the jump.
