Recap: Warriors 121, SEATTLE SuperSonics 126- Too Hot for TV! That's That.
Well it's a good thing the season finale wasn't televised. Only this unclutch Warriors squad (3-6 in the final month of the season) could lose to the worst team in the Wild Wild West on the last game of the season at home on Fan Appreciation Night.
Final Preview/ Open Thread of 2k7-2k8
Nellie's too old and accomplished to be wasting his time with this sorry front office and cheap owner and so are we.

Thank god it was all MEANINGLESS. Make a meaningful jump!

RECAP: Warriors 122, Clippers 116 - Talkin' all that Jazz

Dunleavy: No f*^&$&% way the Warriors can still be in the playoff hunt!
Response: Talk to the hand cause the ear's not listening!
Last night was monumental.
Not only did Denver lose, badly, bringing our Warriors into a temporary tie for the final playoff spot, Patrick O' Bryant AND Marco Belinelli got off the bench....during prime time! Warriors...where the bench...happens?
By hearing that the team manager actually has to wash those two dudes' jerseys tonight, you're probably assuming it was a blow out. It might as well been. It was close, but not necessarily as close as the score looks.

RECAP: Warriors 105, Nuggets 114 - Not Easy Being a Warriors Fan
Final Boxscore | Open Thread (885+ comments)

This is probably the hardest recap I've ever had to write. I'm just sitting here staring at the boxscore trying to figure out what to write. We all share the same pain. We all recognize that the Warriors need to win their next 3 and Denver go 1-2 for the Warriors to make the playoffs. Some of us hold out hope, some of us would rather give up and be surprised if it happens. I'm not ready to give up on this season. Like they say, it ain't over till it's over.
I got 2 big reasons for the loss and then we'll take a shower and cleanse ourselves of the Denver Chicken Nuggets.
Jump.

Recap: Warriors 140, Kings 132 - Giving Them The Business.
Now THAT'S what I'm talking about.
Tonight the Warriors came out and looked like the team that we all know that they can be. They faced a situation where they knew what needed to be done against a team that they knew they could do it to, and what did they do?
They gave them the business.
Okay okay. I'll admit that an 8 point win and giving up 132 points doesn't exactly qualify as "giving the Kings the business". Actually I'm not really sure what does qualify as "giving the business". Before that YouTube clip, I'd never heard that expression before!
What the Warriors did manage to do tonight was to jump out to an early lead and hold onto it for (count `em!) FOUR quarters. We can sit around all night and talk about the deficiencies in our defense that led to the Kings' 132 points, but in the end, we picked their pockets more times and certainly swatted more shots. Holy crap Pietrus.
Now I'm not saying we played good D out there tonight. I'm just saying it was better than theirs.
JUMP!!

Recap: Warriors 96, Hornets 108 - The Revolution Will Not Be DVRed
Before I begin the recap, allow me to explain to all of you why it is coming at you so late. I tell you this not to make an excuse for the lag in this recap (although that is a nice by-product), but rather to set the stage for the adventure that followed.
For some ungodly reason, I thought the game was at 4pm yesterday. I was so confident of this fact that I didn't bother to check anywhere to confirm. I simply knew it. It was only at just after 10am when YaoButta shot me an email to check and see if I was dead (because I hadn't put up the Open Thread) that I realized my error.
Now thinking that the game was at 4pm rather than 10am the following day... let's just say I made a completely different set of decisions regarding how I chose to celebrate Saturday night. Let's just say I may have had more than my normal share of... um.... Capri Suns.
Open Thread (730+ Comments - WOW!)
Whew! This stuff hits hard!
So as alarmed as I was to find out that I was missing the game (let alone one I had signed up on the recap for, let alone one of this magnitude), the best response that was within the scope of my capability was to roll out of bed and hit record on the DVR.
Problem solved. I'll check the game when the... um... Capri Sun... wears off.
Little did I know that DVR waits for no one. JUMP!

Recap: GSoM Night 4

Take it to the court- GSoM and friends bring it on the hardwood floor!
First and foremost, we would like to thank everyone within the GSoM community that took part in GSoM Night 4! We represented 500 deep that night and couldn't have made it possible without your support. I know there were comments about seats being scattered across Club 200 (some all they way up top), but you guys made it out and represented. A special thank you to Chris Murphy, our ticket rep for accommodating all of us and hooking up GSoMer's with a fly "Unstoppable Baby!" white T. Thanks to Chris for also giving the GSoM Crew along with our friends (including Zorgon!) some court time on the hardwood floor with the shot clock and scoreboard on hand. GSoM Night 4 was definitely a great time out and even though we lost against Houston, the game was hype.
Jump up and get down with the photo recap!

RECAP: Warriors 117, Grizzlies 86: At least we aren't the Griz!
If you get a chance, check out the new B-boy documentary!
Fitz put it best tonight
Hanging by a thread our Warriors are on the brink of a complete collapse right out of the playoff race with each loss. Luckily for us we got the best recipe for tonight, a game against Memphis Grizzlies.
Tonight it was essentially over by halftime as the Warriors beat the Grizzlies 117 to 86. Now the focus is on the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets, praying they start losing. Half a game behind Denver for the 8th spot, we better get lucky, or else we all are watching Planet Bboy for the rest of the summer!
But first let's see how we creamed the Grizz shall we?

RECAP: Warriors 86, Mavericks 111 - Upset doesn't begin to describe it
Final Boxscore

Pretty much the Warriors D the entire night
I honestly don't know how to describe what I'm feeling right now. It's a combination of pain while being upset, frustrated, and pessimistic all rolled in one. Part of the anger is with the loss, but the majority of my pain has to do with the way we lost. It's one thing to come out on the road in a back to back and lose a close one, it's another to completely not show up.
Regular season games don't get much bigger than this. The playoffs are on the line. A single win or loss completely changes the landscape of the standings. The games will be magnified from here on out. With the Denver matchup looming next Thursday, let's hope that game actually counts for something.
I'm trying to figure out what happened tonight. My exploration after the jump.

Recap: Warriors 92, Spurs 116- The Loss Will Not Be Televised + Monta Ellis vs Tony Parker
For Warriors fans it was one of those nights. Take your pick of evils:
- Getting blown out by the San Antonio Spurs.
- Slipping down to the 9th spot with tonight's Nuggets win against the Suns in Denver. Check out Nuggets Slip Past Suns (126-120) [Bright Side of the Sun] and Pickaxe and Roll for more.
- Having to listen to the homerish Spurs announcing crew on NBA League Pass.

Besides the odd fisheye lens view anyone notice anything else wrong with this picture?
I promise this is more interesting than the actual game... after the jump!
