Who's got the HOTTEST Kicks for opening night in the NBA?

In case you've been in cave the past few months and didn't know, the NBA season kicks off this Tuesday night. We're so hyped for the NBA season to finally start that it's not even funny.

We'll get out some predictions before the season starts, but let's get down to the big question everyone wants to know- Who's got the illest kicks for opening night?

Carmelo Anthony with the Jordan Melo M3

Gilbert Arenas with the Adidas Gil Zero

Dwayne Wade with the Converse Wade 1.3 Mid

Your boy Fuzzy with the SNAKES (see Snakes on a Shoe! and Snakes on a dj fuzzylogic)

Or...

Your boy Atma with the HOTTEST THROWBACK KICKS! (see The Spring Fashion Blowout Special and The Greatest Misses)

I'm a little biased, but I'm going with yours truly and the greatest collection of retro kicks.

Make sure to cast your vote in the comments section and drop your fashion thoughts!

Whoh
was that site from before Golden State Warriors Blog?

Anyway, I have to go with Spike Lees shoes. They are the most colourful.

Doesn't Shaq have a shoe?

Oh, sorry
I'm an idiot-it's just an alternative blog.

A little history
was that site from before Golden State Warriors Blog?

About 1.5 years ago DJ Fuzzy Logic started the chart toping Two Turn Tables and a Blog which inspired me to start The Free Shai World Report (play off The Boondocks). Those were the first 2 blogs in the Hyphy Bloggin' Network (HBN). Then, we dropped the Golden State Warriors BLOG one random sunny day. A little later Fantasy Junkie dropped The Fantasy Sports Report, bringing the HBN total to 4 blogs.

The present

  • Golden State Warriors BLOG took off and is now what you see here
  • Two Turn Tables and a Blog and The Free Shai World Report are still in full effect although they don't get the proper luv and attention they deserve because of our hectic lives as grad students and maintaining GSoM
  • The Fantasy Sports Report died like the Warriors chances of success when Chris Cohan became majority owner, but Fantasy Junkie still has a goofy screenname

Wow
only 1.5 years, but looking at those blogs, and even Golden State Warriors BLOG feels like looking at ancient history. You guys sure have come a long way!

Nice
I like the Tmac but if I had to wear one of those it would be the Spike Lee shoes.

Spiz'ike
Other than yours truly, I gotta go with the Spiz'ikes. They got flava. A little bit like Frankenstein (random parts stitched together), but they're still innovative.

Gil ZERO!
The pic you showed is of the Adidas Gil Zero.

The Pilrahna is a different shoe, that Gil is actually wearing in the preseason and uh has advertising for.

They're really throwing off consumers with that strategy, so its an understandable mistake.

Steve Nash's shoes are always hot by the way, and always only sold in Canada or overseas!

Oh and since this is GSOM, I'll go with JRich's personalized team elite Huaraches:

Thanks for catching that. It was really confusing when I was doing research. The Gil Zero's look much better. I'll fix it.

Comfort over Looks
As a guy who's played a lot of ball in various leagues throughout the years, how the shoe feels is more important than how it looks.

Alas, I'm not one for colorful and crazy looking shoes.  I think Melo's or T-MAC's shoes look just fine for me.  :)

Spike!
No doubt about it, the Jordan V's in the Spike Lee edition.

Spiz' Ikes
are the most disgusting jordans ever made. Just because they were super limited dont mean nothing if they ugly -___-. Dj Fuzzylogic's shoes are skateboarding shoes, not baskteball shoes! And, those Tmacs are looking good, has anyone seen the sole? Amazing =]

Haha
Dj Fuzzylogic's shoes are skateboarding shoes, not baskteball shoes!

Not only are they skateboarding shoes, they're FUGLY shoes.

(Haha, just kidding dogg!)

And of course
Good luck getting those Dub Zero version 2's for under $500 with its whack limited to 4k or so pairs.

The T-Macs have that ground control pod thing going for it that supposedly limits ankle sprains, but I'm not digging the weird foam/faux snakeskin/patent leather design.

Its way too busy with mish mashed materials.

But the black/white/red version is pretty sweet.

skateboarding?
skateboarding or not, those SNAKES are straight bangin!

Gil
As someone who almost strictly goes with adidas, I'm taking the Zeros.

by Ziller on Oct 30, 2006 8:22 AM PST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Wow
As an uber white guy I don't think I could pull off any of those shoes, or if I'm feeling particularly hyphy, kicks. My Caterpillar steel toed work boots are all I wear but they don't work well on the court. If I were to buy and wear one it would definetly be the adidas Gilbert ones. I like the adidas brand and I dig most of their stuff.

Where's the Hi Tops?
What? No Bob Cousy signature models?
Then I guess I'll hafta go with the Dwayne Wades, they look pretty uptown
