Rumor: Tony Mejia Thinks AI to the Warriors by Friday

Tony Mejia of CBS SportsLine dropped a piece on the Allen Iverson dealings titled A.I.'s next team? Anybody's guess, including this one: Warriors in which he offered six potential trade scenarios that work under the cap. Here's what Warriors fans want to know:

Golden State: The Warriors also could put multiple packages out there, starting with a blockbuster that would send Baron Davis to Philadelphia in a high-profile point guard swap. Jason Richardson and Mickael Pietrus could anchor another package, and you can bet King has asked about the availability of talented, inexpensive young players Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins and Patrick O'Bryant. Chris Mullin has a lot of pieces to play with if he's intent on stirring things up yet again.

Where will Iverson end up? My hunch is that he'll end up in a Golden State uniform by late Friday. Mullin isn't shy about taking risks, and he has to be dreaming about how potentially explosive the offense could be with Iverson on the court and Don Nelson on the sideline.

Why is Mejia's guess better then anyone else? I doubt that Mullin or King called him.

but seriously... I really think that we should Baron Davis this thing off... wait until the trade deadline or somewhere close to it and get Iverson for cheap (as in Murphy and the 1 year deals... possibly including a 3rd team). We've stolen Baron Davis, why not steal Allen Iverson. And if we do steal Iverson, we could trade him in the offseason to really get a piece that will fit our style better than Murphy. PLEASE WAIT!!!

Waiting makes sense

Let Philly's price come down, and any deal for AI must include Dunleavy (or Foyle) - unless Nelson wants to swap BD for AI, and if he does, who hear knows better than Nellie? This is only a good opportunity if we unload bad contracts in the deal.
