Recap: Warriors 89, Spurs 129 - ALMOST HAD' EM!
Ouch. Last night was a bloodbath.
I have to say, I'm starting to get a little confused. The Warriors are becoming the most unpredictable team in basketball. This isn't to say that there was anything unpredictable about the Warriors losing to the Spurs on their home floor (despite my bold prediction in the Open Thread), but it's getting rather tough to predict the brand of basketball we're going to see from this team.
Take last night for instance. They played like insufferable garbage. Can't predict that!
What happened last night? Where were the Warriors that beat the Spurs last time? Last night we saw an entirely different team. In fact, I think there may only be one commonality that I can share between last night and our previous game against the Spurs...
I'm speechless.
Duncan: "We're winning by HOW much?!"
I can dive into the box score for this recap, but I think everyone knows what they saw last night. It was over in the first quarter. Terrible looks, terrible shots and wasted possessions galore. If one thing was right about my prediction in the open thread, it was that the Spurs did NOT take our wasted possessions lightly. They were scoring at will on us.
When the smoke cleared in the first, we managed to walk away with a whopping 14 points. Just to put that in perspective, that's the lowest point total in a quarter that the Warriors have put up all season. We were truly Monty's finest out there last night.
Damn. I can't talk about it anymore. It was all around trash. Going 4-16 from beyond, putting up 34 boards to their 51 boards; we got destroyed. Let me just list the good things from last night and move on with the hope that tonight's game washes this bad taste out of our mouths.
1) Roberson. Nice to see he can produce! Too bad he was one of the only ones.
2) Baron had such a nasty crossover that I broke my ankles just by watching it.
3) I did two loads of laundry and a whole sink of dishes in the second half after I gave up on paying close attention to the game.
4) In the fourth quarter I remembered that I had some leftover tri-tip in the fridge and made an incredible sandwich. Lil' mayo, lil' mustard, peppers, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, some garlic... Almost made watching the game worthwhile!
Warrior Wonder: My sandwich. It was just that good.

Anthony Roberson after the game:
After returning to his hotel that night. Roberson logs onto his computer. From the near by rooms all they can hear is stuff being thrown around everywhere. And also hear Anthony yelling. A sandwhich, a $^%$&$% sandwhich. What the F is that.
News has come out early this morning Roberson is now considering retirement, stating it's just not worth it anymore.

I concur....
RARE SIGHTING ALERT
Almost exactly this time last year I saw a bear and her cub in the woods around my house while mushroom hunting (no, not THAT kind...)
This year I followed up my rare sighting tradition with a sighting just as rare.......Adonal Foyle! And to make it even more incredible, not just an Adonal Foyle, but tagging along were 6 points!
