Jrich out indefinitely...iverson available.

well, this ain't good. Bone bruise on his knee??!! When did that happen? All this time, I thought he was hobbling around because of the knee surgery. But, it turns out to be an "unrelated" bone bruise. On the flip side, apparently Iverson has asked to be traded and the sixers are agressively looking into granting his wish. There were rumors over the summer of the W's being interested in him. Hopefully, they will at least entertain the idea. They would be loaded with guard talent if the trade did not involve BD, Jrich or Monta. Would the sixers have any use at all for Foyle?...How about Ike....Murphy? I doubt there is a scenario where Jrich or BD wouldn't be part of the package.
Would the W's be that much better if they flipped BD for The Answer? Maybe.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

I'd love to have AI
But he probably wants to go somewhere better?
The 76ers might want to get rid of webber bad enough that we could work out a deal for AI and Chris? Something like Baron and Murph or Monta and Diogu?
Seems that Iverson would be a good fit for somewhere like the Clippers or Orlando where they have a good big man to work with him?

All I want for Christmas is Iverson...
Iverson to the Warriors... please Santa Clause...

I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine. There just has to be some way the Warriors can fleece the 76ers this 2006 holiday season. I would love to see a trade somehow involving Foyle go down. I don't think Iverson + spare parts for B.Davis + spare parts would really be much of an upgrade.

That being said... any deal that gets Iverson in a City jersey come Christmas has my blessing. I know a lot of people have fallen in love with the kids on the current roster and are dreamy eyed thinking about what may be when Monta and Biedrins continue their development... but if there's no trade, the only thing happening in the future is no playoff births followed by more wishful thinking.

There was an article in the Oakland Tribune about the Warriors potentially dealing for Iverson...

"Hiring Nelson was a bold move. Now it's time to make another."

My thoughts exactly. Gamble now. We can still fix up and tinker with this team later. Don't wait 3 years down the road so that we can make a "blockbuster" deal for a lesser player like a Tyson Chandler or Peja.

really now....
Do people really think a disciplinarian like Don Nelson is going to have a good relationship with a player who doesn't like to come to practice?

Why would the Warriors want iverson?
I know everyones gonna say he averaged 30 points but who cares? haven't we learned from the sixers that iverson is just a ball hog and will, in maybe 2-3 years, tear the team apart? We have an all star guard in the making with monta, and when j rich is healthy, BD and him can't be stopped.
