OPEN THREAD: Game #51 - Warriors vs Grizzlies

Warriors (W-L): 23-27

Grizzlies (W-L): 27-23

Time: 7:30PM tip off

Baron's out tonight with a bum ankle. Troy's a possibility, but he's dealing with some ankle pain as well. The Warriors could be without their best passer and rebounder tonight.

The Grizz are a tough team that dominated the Warriors last time. They can't let 1st time All Star Pau Gasol abuse them again.

Prediction: Warriors Win by 1
Anyone caught on to what I really mean with these 1 point win predictions?

My input:
The Warriors may win depending on if:
  1) Derek Fisher puts on a solid performance. We need Fish to step up and lead the team tonight in place of Baron.
  2) We need to stay consistent throughout the game. This means we can't blow the third quarter after playing great the first half and then relying on the fourth quarter to get back in the game.
If Troy cannot play:
  3) We can fill in Murph's shoes. This means we will need Dunleavy to score some points (hopefully in the 15, maybe 20 range). Also, we need contributions from Foyle, Diogu, and possibly Biedrins/Cabarkapa. I'm pretty confident Foyle can guard Gasol.

If all these fall into place (let's not forget free throws), I say the Warriors will definately win.

Whoa
Not looking good thus far (2nd period).  Zarko looks like he was in the car accidnet with Biedrins.

Nerves - End of 3rd
It's just a complete nail-biter every single offensive possession.

I wonder when Fish puts a hand up to call a play if it actually means anything, or is just a ploy to the defense...  It seems like they just go 1-1 every time.

We're fighting.
Not bad 1st 3 quarters. They're spreading around the points, and we're yet to really here from Pietrus. Here's to a solid 4th from MP.
Where have you gone Jud Buechler?

Figures, Foyle lets Gasol do a practical layup!
Same ol' story.  Mully better not waste the trade exception for tomorrow. Time to watch the Olympics before hitting the sack.  Glad I watched 24 instead of the Ws tonight.

ugh, not again
another loss with a lead in the 4th. how sad. can't do much about that gasol shot, he made a nice spin move in the lane.

I'm sorry, I must interject !
You don't let the star player beat you. Where was the double team?  You surround Gasol and make him give it up and let someone else shoot. If that guy makes it, fine. Don't give Gasol a chip shot; that's one of his favorite moves.

Zone defense anyone? Hey MP don't foul ...
Hey MP don't foul when there are no fouls to give and with the game is tied and 7.5 seconds to play!
