Rumor: Dunleavy, Murphy, Pietrus, and the #9 on the Move

Some rumors from Chad Ford of ESPN.com:

  • Dunleavy, Murphy, and the #9 to the La Fakers for Lamar Odom and Aaron McKie
  • Pietrus, Murphy, and the #9 to the Bulls for Tyson Chandler and the #16
  • Pietrus and Murphy the the Utah Jazz for Carlos Boozer

Would you make any of these rumored trades?

Yes, Yes, and yes
I'd make all three of those trades espcially the first one. The second one brings in a legit center and the third brings in a legit low post scorer.

Of course none of these will happen.

Re: Trade Rumors
  1. Yes!!!!!
  2. Yes.
  3. YESSSSS!!!
I like the Odom trade because we make a major upgrade at SF, and I'm not confident the #9 pick will amount to more than a role player.  This trade is also good because it makes the Lakers worse.

Tyson Chandler is all potential, even though we are now heading for Year 6 of his NBA career.  But he can run and catch which makes him an upgrade on Foyle.  Plus, in this draft, we might get the same guy at #16 vs. #9.

I like Boozer more than most, and it would be great to get a guy who can score near the basket while leaving the possibility to make other trades to improve the SF position.

Still annoyed that we drafted Tod Fuller

Somebody wake Mullin up
When I read those trade scenarios I sounded like Meg Ryan in "When Harry met Sally".  Murphy is a nice player, but we're getting someone more athletic in all 3 scenarios.  The 3rd one I probably like the least, since I think the Boozer contract is longer and bigger than the others and he has been injured recently.

Yes to all, please
Especially the one that gets rid of Suckleavy. That one excites me a lot. Having Chandler or Boozer would also be awesome.

In fact I think I like the Chandler one the most, because someone like Carney may still even be available at 16.

Suckleavy
HAHAHAHA.

Fantasy Junkie and I couldn't stop cracking up about that nickname.

Kinda
I like Chandler, but is he significantly different than Biedrens?  Virtually the same size, defensively-oriented youngsters.  Don't know that we need more there.

Boozer is an upgrade over Murph, and though he makes too much and loves the IL, he fits the roster better.  Pietrus is nearly irrelevant to future plans at this point and makes the trade a decent fit.

Odom and Dunleavy are both very difficult players to project and that's a tough call.  As a salary dump alone, though, that trade would be fine in my dept.

deals
The deals are interesting, but are they even real or just some fantasy? I think I'd like the Odom deal the best, however I worry about what Oakland's "good green" (sticky - icky) would do to Odom's career.
I'm not sold on Chandler, and I believe that his addition might hinder the development of our other bigs. With that being said though, Saer sene is an interesting pick. Rather have him than Chandler.
