Wonderful Washington Warriors

Antawn Jamison and Gilbert Arenas laughing at the Warriors
No current Golden State player got invited to try out for the next Dream Team representing United States hoops in the 2008 Summer Olympics. Two former Warrior favorites, now starring for the Washington Warriors, did though. From the Washington Post:
"It's kind of funny two players from that Warrior team are here representing the U.S.," Arenas said. "I mean, I wouldn't have guessed it."
Glad to see Arenas thinks it's funny. I do too. Props to Gil and 'Tawn for making huge strides in their careers since departing from the Dubs. Go Washington Warriors!

It is so sad to be the laughingstock of the league, the butt of all jokes, to be snickered at when I mention that I'm a die hard W's fan.
Why do I put myself through this every single F'n season?

i'm not sure why i'm a diehard fan either
but it seems like you might want to enter our America's Next Biggest Warrior fan contest. it's truly an interesting question why we torture ourselves. love to see what you come up with for the contest though.

You know what they say.
The only good Warrior is an ex-Warrior.

And if it wasn't for the Pistons' 4 overdue spots
Those two would've been All Stars again this past year.

JRich did have some affiliation with Team USA I believe back in an old SLAM story of how playing pickup games with NBA All Stars then selected for the team, gave him confidence that he could make it in the league.

5 PF's =/= 1 Antawn Jamison

Heartbreaking
I was a huge fan of Gilbert Arenas when he played for Arizona. I was jazzed when the Warriors drafted him, and I told all of my friends to look out for him. He totally exceeded my expectations, developing faster and more completely than I could have imagined. The fact the Warriors let him go, almost makes me question my allegiance to the team. But, for me, Jamison was no big loss.
