Rumor: Jazz Want Derek Fisher

From Tim Buckley of the Deseret Morning News:

If the Jazz can't find shooting help via free-agency, they may have an alternate route to fill their glaring need. It's believed Utah has spoken with Golden State about trading for veteran guard Derek Fisher, and a proposal may be on the table. The 31-year-old Fisher has played 10 NBA seasons, eight with the Lakers. It's not known what the Jazz would have to give to get him.

Unless the Warriors are simply trying get out of another ridiculous Chris and Rod contract, it doesn't seem like the Jazz have much to offer for Derek Fisher. It would take more than Fisher salary cap wise to bring in Carlos Boozer, who would immediately help the Warriors.

Are there any practical Derek Fisher trades to the Jazz that you think would improve the Warriors' win total?

99% of rumors never happen, but 99% of them are fun to talk about!

Jazz don't have anyone we want
Except Boozer and maybe Harpring.  The rest are undrafted scrubs.

Harpring, exactly.
He's a guy I hate to play against because he's more than a little bit dirty. Not a great talent, but tough and scrappy. If he'll save us some money, I'd say go for it.

scrubs?
the jazz have talent outside of boozer and harpring. ak47, okur, deron williams, and of course perennial all-star greg ostertag (just kidding about that last one).

those guys probably aren't on the block but definitely not scrubs.

The Legend is retiring actually
I think Ostertag's retiring. The man's been to two NBA Finals. A living legend. (sarcasm in its fullest)
