Rumor: Warriors More Likely Than Pacers to Get Al Harrington

From Sean Deveney of The Sporting News:

Now that the Pacers have lost Stojakovic, Indiana could look to reclaim Harrington, who began his career in Indy. There are several problems, though. The Pacers can only offer the midlevel exception, and Harrington is worth more. There are not many teams left with the cap space to sign Harrington, which might entice Atlanta into a sign-and-trade. However, Hawks' ownership is in limbo, which could stall major deals. Indiana does not have much to offer for Harrington. Golden State, however, does and if the Hawks want to pull a sign-and-trade, the Warriors (Troy Murphy?) are the more likely candidate.

Putting aside our obvious bias- If you were Al Harrington would you rather go to the Pacers or Warriors? Why? Consider money, teammates, and winning.

I'd choose the Warriors...
Indiana USE TO BE a good team. I don't think they'll be as good as they once were given the fact that alot of teams in the east have upgraded during the summer except for Indiana who lost Stojacavic to the Hornets. If he was smart he'd pick the Warriors. However, I won't get my hopes up too high because everytime i hear about a potential deal in the works involving the W's it seems to fall out. If it happens it happens and when it happens is when i'll put more thought into it.

harrington to W's?
If I were Al I'd pick the W's. I mean who would you rather play with? BD and JRich in an uptempo exciting style of play, or Indy.
If Harrington can realize that he's the missing piece to our starting rotation, he should come to the conclusion that the W's are his team!!

Pros and Cons
Harrington to the Pacers:
  1. Plays with Jermaine O'Neal and will most likely be the 2nd option behind O'Neal.
  2. He's played there before so it's familiar to him.
  3. Rick Carlisle is a much better coach.
  4. Rather play in the East where you have a chance of making the playoffs every single year. A .500 record gets you into the playoffs.
Harrington to the Warriors:
  1. Plays with BD and JRich in an uptempo and fun offense, but most likely will be the 3rd option. BD and JRich are potentially 2 20+ point scorers. That doesn't leave many shots for him.
  2. Also, he might perceive that MDJ and Pietrus will steal time from him especially because of MDJ's big contract. Usually with a big contract, the team feels obligated to play that player.
  3. The Warriors are cursed and the West is a much more difficult conference.
Basically, if I were him, I'd rather go to the Pacers. In Indiana he can put up bigger scoring numbers and win more often.

Not quite what everybody is saying.
The rumors i've been reading say that Indiana is the heavy favorite in the Harrington race.  What i've been hearing is that their trying to get a third team involved in a sign and trade.
