Dajuan Wagner!

Am I reading this correctly? Wagner just signed a 2 year deal with the Dubs?? What does this mean for the current roster? And are we still persuing DerMarr in a sign and trade? This one just caught me completely off guard!

Just what we need....
another 6' guard with minimal skills. Well, I shouldn't say that...he has shown flashes of having some real talent, just too many injuries / illnesses. I just don't see where he fits on this team unless there is a deal in place or one in the making to move one or more of those guards we got in the Fisher trade. Or someone else? I'm all confused now and i'ts way too early on a friday. Brain at about 30% right now...

minimal skills?
okay dude he once scored 100 points in a highschool game and his career high in an nba game is 30 yeah he was sick but people do come back

With the 6th overall pick...
Wagner has always had a propensity to score...With that said, his NBA career has been a disappointment to say the least. His best season came during his rookie year and managed to score 13 points on sub 37% shooting while only logging 40 some odd games. I  want to root for the guy due to the struggles he has attempted to overcome, however I don't see the Warriors as the ideal place for him to showcase his talent.

I hope you prove me wrong Wagner...

Low cost gamble
Gotta figure that he's signing at or near the NBA minimum.  He's an athlete if he's really recovered from all his problems. Couldn't ever shoot well enough to help a team, but he's a low cost gamble that will be a great story if he contributes anything.

check this out on his comeback story
another scoring PG or undersized SG but I agree,
worth the risk at a low price, fits Nelson's style, and the "Utah guys" won't all be on this year's roster (I hope) as they should be packaged in trades or cut.

Great read
Boy, reading that makes me feel real good about this signing. The Utah guys have got to go to make room for this guy. Sorry Andre Owens, we were only neighbors for such a short but sweet time. Sounds like Waggy could be a bulkier version of Monta if he's as healthy as it seems. Competition for minutes on a team is always good.

ESPN is reporting this as well.

So would Wagner be PG backup and Monta at SG backup? Or the other way around? I guess they'll try various lineups.

So what's next?!

Question...
He had colitis, and I believe he had his colon completely removed. I wonder if that will be a hindrance on his game. I wasn't even sure you could play without a colon...

As we all know
the colon is essential to the post up game.  Dajuan will have trouble takin smaller guards in the post but other than.... ok sorry its a load of crap, but apparently he can play without his colon, hes been tearing apart some amateur leagues to the tune of like 50+ points per game

Word choice.
I'm not sure that the words "a load of crap" were the best to use when talking about colon removal surgery.

I dunno
Apparently it's all good; he worked out for the team here in Oakland before they signed him. Not to mention some 6 or so other teams showed pleanty of interest in him as well. I've got this funny feeling he's going to be a key contributor to the team this year, and a fast fan favorite.

same here
aye for some reason i got that same feeling too.  i think hes going to bring toughness, energy, and athleticism and i think hes going to be a real spark.  the thing im wondering is what number will he wear?

By the way....
Anyone read or seen any quotes from Wagner talking about his new team or anything like that? I haven't seen anything from him or anyone from his "camp", just the Warriors front office.
