More on New Golden State Warrior Dajuan Wagner- Part II
In case you didn't get enough of our newest Warrior Dajuan Wagner (see BREAKING NEWS: Warriors Sign Dajuan Wagner, More on New Golden State Warrior Dajuan Wagner, and MoUpInTheO's diary Dajuan Wagner!) here's a few more links:
- The Return of Dajuan Wagner by Lang Whitaker for Slam Online: "As a high school guard, he basically was LeBron before LeBron. I don’t mean that in terms of basketball style or ability, but Juanny was famous by his senior year, with stories in SLAM, GQ, Sports Illustrated, everywhere."
- Wagner returns to NBA by Celeste E. Whittaker for Courier Post Online: "He looked like the Wagner of old playing in summer leagues at the CHHRC and at Drexel University. He scored 80 points in a league game at the racquet club, going against NBA players such as Memphis Grizzlies forward Hakim Warrick, Los Angeles Clippers guard Cuttino Mobley and NBA journeyman Rick Brunson."
- Wagner relishing second chance by Celeste E. Whittaker for Courier Post Online (via True Hoop): Looks like Dajuan's looking forward to Don Nelson's fast tempo and working with Warrior assistants Keith Smart and Stephen Silas again.
Watch Dajuan go for the one-triple-oh!
Just for fun- what do you think Dajuan's scoring high will be next year with the Warriors? 10 points? 15? 20? 25? 30? 35? 40+?

High - 27
I don't see Wagner getting a lot of shots or being anything but the third option on the floor if this team is going to be a playoff contending team. He's been compared to AI inclduing the fact he needed to take many shots to score his points but unlike AI, he's not team captain.
He'll light up a quarter but hopefully not play long minutes because of the great play of the 1st squad.
Ideally he'll become a Vinnie Johnson or Ben Gordon, a defensivly mismatched at SG but a player that can get into the rotation and make big shots when it counts.
The key is to field a PG that can defend the SG - Krik Hinrich does this for Ben Gordon. Maybe Monta can play along side Wagner or Pietrus -- if he's still here.
