MurphLeavy = Big Brother and the Holding Company
In Jack McCallum's recent column for SI.com Plot twists: Storylines that bear watching in the coming months he compares Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy's "look" to 1960's Bay Area rock group Big Brother and the Holding Company. I can't really say I know too much about the band as they were way before my time, but hopefully this comparison does wonders for the MurphLeavy value on the trade market. I don't think too many players can put that on their resume. Anyhow, definitely check out the short piece especially if you're a fan of Big Brother and the Holding Company and Janis Joplin.

Hey I'd be smiling too if I had the best seat in the house every night and was collecting big paychecks!

If you're truly old school, what's your favorite Big Brother and the Holding Company track?

Down on Me
. . . is my favorite BBHC song.
Too bad it's not Big Brother and the Moving Company for Duns and Murph.
