Biedrins
Harrington
Pietrus
Jackson
B.D.

according to the Don Nelson show today, that's who he's gonna start saturday... he's just gonna "throw them right into the fire!"

p.s. he said dumb bastard several times, this was the most hilarious interview ever!

Thanks my man
We'll get it up soon. This would be hot for a diary since it could be whole new discussion topic.

Waiting for the next shoe to drop
http://sportsradar.blogspot.com/2007/01/jason-richardson-for-andrei-kirilenko.html

I want to see JRich-and-Zarko (or Pietrus) for AK47.  Give us that, and the playoffs are a certainty!!!

New Warriors Girl Chant
I-N-J-U-R-Y! Injury!

We leave behind Dunleavy and Murphy because they are not producing and are injured, and THEN we go around and trade for someone who is not producing for Utah this year AND is injury prone?

It sounds like candy, but lets think before we leap.

Former Warriors
Any comments or radio interviews from Murphy, Dunleavy, Diogu, and McLeod? It'd be interesting to see what they're saying about Golden State to Indiana radio.

Interviews
Mullin's conversation said absolutely nothing.

I liked the talks with AH by both the Indiana guys and  KNBR. Seems like a nice guy and I really get the impression that both he and SJ(in his conversation) are excited to get a change in surroundings.

Speaking of excitement, someone hold Nellie down.

All in all, can't wait for the first time I get to see the new guys. I'll be out of town so I can't watch the game Saturday, but I wait impatiently.

Mully sounds like he's missing Dun already
Mully does not sound very upbeat or exited about the freaking trade.

you guys notice something?
when listening to the harrington interview i started noticing something new in a warrior (except BD of course) god damn SWAGGER!  i know gil's Swag concept is getting all sorts of attention but man did it feel good to hear Al talking about his game and what he wants to do.  harrington sounds hungry as hell and that's exciting after the passive attitude we've been dealing with with the murphleavy express.  watching barnes and pietrus getting fired up on the court has been a revelation but the roof is going to fly off the O if we get everyone accelerating and working together. holy s*** let's fire it up, go WARRIORS!

Trade JRich?
I propose that the next guy who suggests we trade JR gets banned from the group for life?
Jason is THE true Warrior and should only leave when he WANTS to leave.
Now about this trade, I'm interested in this Powell dude? Somewhere is said he's similiar to a young UHaslem?  Is there any chance he'll be a better pickup than Ike was??? Will Nellie give him a chance to find out????

Yes and Yes
"Is there any chance he'll be a better pickup than Ike was??? Will Nellie give him a chance to find out????"

to elaborate
Powell is the only true backup '4' by default...this team is REAL thin at the PF spot. Unless you consider Piety/Barnes 4's. In a pefect world you don't have to put them there.

Let's Go Oakland! Gas, Brake, Dip.

Funny ?
No one seems to care much about Powell, I haven't seen any discussion about him. To me he might be more important to the final outcome of this trade than any of the other guys.

by Skeptic con Urquell on Jan 19, 2007 2:24 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

to me
you could be saying the same things about him that people are saying about Ike.
He is a young bigman that has not been giving an opportunity for one reason or another. His upside is nice and if he turns out good it will make this trade great.
Sound familiar?

Let's Go Oakland! Gas, Brake, Dip.

Regarding Saras Jasickevicius...
Has any article been published about him? I understand he's not one of the big pieces on the trade, but I would like to know what he thinks about the change of scenery and how he could fit in Nelson's system.
