Once Biedrins Fouls out, might as well scratch up the L
First off, I'm sorry for being a bit inactive, but my internet was kaput for a couple days.
I bet you're thinking, "Oh, great, another diary where Zorgon discusses a serious topic and includes Foyle seriously, and not in the funny format." If you thought this, you are correct, and I encourage you to stop reading now.
Don't get me wrong, there are other flaws. But I will not discuss them here.
At the end of games, once Biedrins fouls out, you might as well count it up as a loss.
Why, you ask, is the game relient on our Center who has not produced in a long time? Because of two reasons.
Problem #1:NO REBOUNDING. The biggest player on the floor at this point is "big" Al Harrington, who, as disussed before, has a rebounding problem. The next biggest player is usually Mikeal Pietrus, and if he played like Eduardo Najera, that'd be great, but the truth is that he's a Sgooting Guard at heart, and rebounding isn't exactly at the top of his list of things to do.
Biedrins is the only guy who can REALLY rebound on this team, except for maybe Powell or Major (although he's probobly already gone). You could help to alleviate the problem by putting in Foyle, but this is not really his game, and he will mishandle the rebounds often.
Solution: Put in Foyle and hope for the best, or BRING UP POB FROM THE D-LEAGUE! WE SHOULD, AT NO POINT, HAVE AL HARRINGTON PLAYING CENTER. Another solution would be to trade for Nazr Mohammed and the like, if Nellie would actually PLAY them.
Problem #2: OPEN LANES. This was most prominent in the Lakers game, where we essentially gave Luke Walton an open lane twice to the basket, sealing our fate. Why? Because we have no big man to clog up space, as Harrington and Pietrus can easily be pushed away.
Solution: This one's obvious. PUT IN FOYLE TO CLOG UP THE LANE. If you don't like that, Nellie, CALL UP POB TO CLOG THE LANE. And if you don't like that, TRADE FOR NAZR TO CLOG UP THE LANE.
Okay, so far this has been pretty repetetive. But my point is clear. Whyyyyy whould Nellie EVER play Harrington at Center and Pietrus at Power Forward? Both of them are already out of position at PF and SF respectively. If I were coach, I'd call Greg Ostertag out of retirement to do this.
And if your argument is, "Well, the guy who came in is better than any of the Cs you mentioned....."
First of all, there is no true different player that you could add to the mix to spice things up. You already have all of the nessessary skill on the floor.
Second of all, in the two games, the guys who came in werent terribly effective.
Third of all, there is no third arguement, but lists look a lot better with 3 items on them.
If your arguement is, "Oh, but this has happened only twice, and without Baron Davis!"
For your twice arguement, I have a strong feeling these two faults will have recurring themes throughout the season. Hey, if you wanna lose more, go ahead. I've got plenty of more healthy years in me to wait for playoffs, don't you?
For your Baron Davis arguement, we were outmatching both the Cavaliers and the Lakers without him. Who knows, he might of ruined it! Putting him on the floor still won't change these crunchtime problems.
Thanks for reading.
I think Warriors Games are starting to look a lot like this movie:

Hey, at least we'll win 1 out of 100 times.
This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

hmm...
The ball ended up going to Foyle on the left block along the baseline and he decides to dribble while driving to the basket along the baseline and decides to try a bounce pass that would bounce along the baseline attempting to get through 2 Laker defenders to a Warrior on that was spotted up for a 3 along the baseline on the right side of the court.
The result? Not only did Foyle step out of bounds, but had he not stepped out of bounds, the ball bounces out of bounds and then bounced back in to the Warrior spotted up on the baseline so it was a win-win for a turnover.
I thought Powell played very well for a backup C, he had a couple of putbacks and some rebounds as well as an emphatic block that he shouldve controlled more carefully to gain posession.

Hahah
And I didn't really pay attention to Powell when he was on the court, so I can't say much. I was watching the game, but not Powell. I think I did see that block though. Nice.

Not the Original Warrior C who's name ends in
I'm sure you've seen him before Zorgon, probably in the royal blue and yellow uni.
Manute Bol.
Where are they now article:
http://www.nba.com/sixers/features/manute_bol_060822.html
397 shots blocked his rookie season
NBA Record blocked shots per minute played
Adonal and beans could learn a thing or two from him no?
There's probably plenty of youtube links of him in action somewhere on GSoM here.

Hahaha
That would be good for them, although Adonal and Bol are two completely different shot blockers. If you put each in each others body, Adonal would probobly be better than Bol was, as he's instinctive, rather than just....tall.
You hear W today/yesterday when announcing Dikimbe Motumbos citizenship? He called him Mo-tomb-o.

Mo Taylor
Zorgon, you make good points, especially about rebounding. Flat out: if the W's can grab defensive rebounds, they are a going to win a ton of games.
But frankly, Foyle is not that good of a defensive rebounder. Big body, sure, but how many times have we seen him get inside position, but his man pushes him a bit too far in and then he just jumps over his back for the board? Adonal's too short and can't jump, and that often times negates his boxing-out ability. He does have a ton of hustle, which is where he gets most of his rebounds from.
Foyle does clog the lane nicely, and he makes some nice blocks. He's not very good at recovering AFTER he makes a block, which often times leads to an offensive rebound and an easy put-back, but our theoretical power forward (you know, the one that's supposed to get a ton of rebounds) should be taking care of those.
I've been happy with what Foyle's done for us this season. He's for the most part been quite effective in his minimal role. I'm not sure if he's the answer to those two problems you discuss, but they are definitely problems that need to be addressed regardless.

Andris for KG - the trade of all trades
goto that link, after analyzing for days and agonizing, this is my final offer to address Warriors, T'Wolves, AND MEMPHIS' woes.
Memphis: Pau wants out, and has now said it publically. Listen here... you need to get the best you can, and Memphis says they want Luol Deng/Ben Gordon... but, wouldn't JRich and Andris be just as good? Andris is there now, JR is there later, which is fine b/c ur gonna get Greg Oden anyways so no rush! And throw in a future prospect in O'Bryant, that is the icing on your cake to stray away from the Bulls!
Minnesota: OK, KG = 20 mill, Pau = 10. You get a guy thats comparable to KG in MANY regards, for half the price?! So you still have his presence, plus 10 million to REALLY add on pieces this time (Kevin McHale). Now that you fired coach, and are about to fall under .500, KG is gonna be askin' out sooooon... only the W's can give Memphis what they want, so, throw us a bone huh?
Warriors: Ouch.. giving up JR? Might have to.. but OUCHER! Andris? He's untouchable right?! Well, sorta... He IS because we'll lose without him, so A BIG for a BIG is not that smart... unless his name's KG, and he can block, steal, pass, dunk, and most importantly, RUN, like people half his size. Which is why the bay area worships him.
There it is folks.. go ahead, criticize away lol.
(Thanks Zorg for ur help).
