Looking Back on Mitch Richmond's Career

It's the rock! Head on over to HoopsAddict to check out Hey! Whatever Happened to Mitch Richmond by Brian Taylor. Here's a snippet:

For those that don't really remember Mitch, he was one of the aforementioned "pure scorers", a guy that could hurt you inside/outside/posting up/at the free throw line/from the concession stand/ he was deadly. Everyone remembers his 1988 Olympic team as the one that prompted us to create the "Dream Team". In his first days fresh out of Kansas State, Richmond was scooped up by Golden State, Mitch ("Rock" to his teammates) ran with Chris Mullin and Timmy Hardaway to form "RunTMC", one of the illest NBA cliques ever. Milwaukee had Ray Allen, Sam Cassell and Glen Robinson. The Knicks had Sprewell, Houston and Ewing, and the Wizards have Arenas, Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison, but those three really started the "3 star trend".

Mitch was only with the Warriors for 3 seasons, but he's one of Warriors Nations' favorites. Nellie still to this today says that breaking up Run TMC to bring in Billy Owens was a big mistake. Timmy, Mitch, and Chris never won a title together, but it sure felt like it for Warriors fans. It was that good.

Rockin' the house!

What's your favorite Mitch Richmond memory when he was sporting a Warriors jersey?

I remember the game...
where he was something like a virtually perfect 12 for 13 from the floor (actually he was perfect, but they counted a backboard pass from the three point line to I think Alton Lister or someone like that as a miss)  It was beautiful basketball.  I was crushed when he was traded to the Kings... and I was only 8 when the trade happened.  Man... the memories of Run TMC still linger around in my mind.

Good memories for a young buck mightymadskillz
but for me, it was not one moment, but rather his shooting form, which I copied in HS. The result? I became a better outside shooter. I guess his build was like mine at that time, his shooting form became natural for me. They called me the "Rock" after my hoops hero.

does anyone think
that baron, monta, and j-rich could eventually turn into the next run TMC.  theyre talking about some of the 3 star teams and if we could get these three going, we already have biedrins if we could get another solid, athletic defensive minded rebounding big man and get j-rich healthy, keep improving monta that could be a nice squad right there.

speaking of gilbert and jamison
can anyone believe that those two plus Larry Hughes, 3 former warriors were the highest scoring trio in the league like 2 years ago.  it just baffles me.  it is just unbelievable.
