Even during that dark, dark 12 year stretch (see The Dirty Dozen: 1 | 2 | 3) no matter how bad the Warriors were I always felt proud of the in arena entertainment offerings and personnel. From the supafly Warrior Girls, to the Balco friendly Thunder, to the always hype Franco Finn, to the show-stopping Jr. Jam Squad, to the wheeling and pizza dealing Hoop Troop, to the GTOe bands, to the dope drummers in the playoffs, to the super duper hyphy GS Lightning- these guys were simply UNSTOPPABLE BABY!

Adam Lauridsen (Fast Break)

Grade: B-
Am I the only one who thinks Thunder (Blunder) is an awful mascot? There are two reasons "the City" logo is so successful: (1) it's just cool and (2) no Ws fan wants to wear Blunder all over his or her chest. That said, GS Lightning and the Jr. Jam Squad are unstoppable. They always managed to get the crowd pumped up during breaks in the action. But would it really hurt to pay just a little money for real halftime entertainment every game?

Atma Brother #1

Grade: A+
The whole crew's been doing it for years and it's great to see them getting some well deserved publicity this season. Earlier this spring DJ Fuzzlogic, Hash, and I had the pleasure of meeting the GS Lightning crew who frequent GSoM. Not only are they uber-talented B-Boys that bring it every night at the Roaracle Arena and the flyest spots in the Yay Area, but they are a bunch of really cool cats. Make some serious noise next time you see them performing at a Warriors game.

DJ Fuzzylogic

Grade: A-
I was pretty upset when they cut some favs off the Warriors Girls dance squad. Plus, the highly anticipated Warrior Girl calendar, was slightly disappointing. Upon looking at it, my thoughts echoed my friends critique of the photos: "it makes them look like drag queens." Huge fan of the GS lightening Breakdancers though. Have them battle the Warrior Girls and Thunder, we'll all know who'll "get served."

Fantasy Junkie

Grade: A+
The main staple of this group is the Warrior Girls. I must say, they stepped up their game this year. Last year's routines were pretty bad, this year, the routines were much better and you could tell they worked harder at them. The rest of the entertainment always does a great job. I especially like the GS Lightning Breakdancers, those drummer folks, and the Jr. Jam Squad.

Grade: A+
Okay even if everything else sucked, (which they don't) The GS Lightning and Inflatable Thunder are so raw that it would STILL average out to an A+. ALWAYS a great time out.

Grade: B+
They really deserve an A+ but honestly I can live without the CaboWabo Band. THEY HAVE TO GO!! If I hear Earth Wind and Fire one more time...

Now that's the kind of in-depth Warrior analysis I've come to expect from GSOM! Even the cheerleading routines are deconstructed. I propose a cheer-cap at the end of games to compliment the actual game recap.

Poor cheerleaders...in my experience, fans actually like it much more when you trot out a kids dance team, or better yet, kids bball game during halftime.

They got rid of Team Thunder, they cut back alot.
Went with fewer cheerleaders, who were never on the same page last year. When they had the local schools cheerleaders come in, they were more in sync than the warrior girls.

I love the Warrior Girls, but what's with spending 2/3 of the game changing outfits?

Can't stand the Hoop Troop or the Live Band

Don't know if the stage is still there since it looks like the Warriors opened up those seats to new season ticketholders. But every band played the same songs over and over again. AND it was too loud.

Enough with the lame pizza giveaway!! Why not get the concession stand staff to speed it up? ( I just want a soda and my chicken strips please!!) :)

Give me the Lady with the Bowls, 'Quick Change' or the Bucket drumming boys anyday.

Have you ever won a Pizza?!?

It's just good fun son! That Pizza is the BOMB Digetty! Way better that the Concession stand food! Hoop Troop givin' free stuff is all love- u see Bay heads get stoopid dumb and hyphy for giveaways and is always a plus to see kids win. It's all part of entertainment yo'. My only complaint- they need more hoop troop up in the 2--'s seats!

It is a great time out at the Arena. However, I think Thunder is the dumbest mascot in the NBA. The Inflatable Thunder can stay (the precision of his headbutts is truly amazing). The Indian Guy Video is hillarious; easily the funniest part of the night. He should replace Franco as the announcer. The Bboys are fresh (I think it's Rock Force Crew). The Bucket Drummers are tight. I don't remember too many halftime kids' basketball games last year. What happened to the contest where you spin, blind-folded 10X and try to make a layup? Who ever won the Hertz Busted Ride of the parking lot contest? I'm glad they got rid of the player introductions that looked like Master P record covers from 2 seasons ago. I'm not sure the EA Sports intro is all that much better. I hate the pizza giveaway. The richest people in the entire arena who sit in the front row ALWAYS get at least one box every game. "He's a Warrior. Baron Davis to the hole. Blah, blah, blah, he's the double-double king." They need to get rid of that ad and have E-40 rep it. I can't wait for the season to start.
