As Steve Harvey so eloquently put it, "We're goin' to see the Kangs tonight."
Who would have thought after the abysmal start that we had to our season the Warriors would be making a push to get back to .500 by their 14th game! Not gonna lie to you, exciting stuff.
Our hope for tonight is that the Warriors are still riding the amazing tsunami that allowed them to bowl over the Suns. Few can argue that Monday's game treated us to some of the higher level of play that this Warriors squad is capable of. And while we may not exactly need to duplicate those efforts to a tee tonight, we certainly can't discount this as an easy win.
The Kings have admittedly gotten off to a slow start, but as indicated by their early season win against the Spurs and the fact that they have a decent home record so far (5-2), they are certainly capable of causing some damage when firing on all cylinders. Arco is no easy place to play. Aside from that the Kings have a number of relatively potent weapons (Miller, Martin, Artest) that can get out of hand if not properly defended. Let's hope our boys harness the momentum and energy off our Suns victory and cruise into the sweet land of .500 tonight.
On a sadder note our best wishes go out to our very own Sac-town native, Matt Barnes, who endured the loss of his mother, Ann Barnes, due to cancer. Our best wishes go out to Matt and his family.
Overall, I feel good about tonight. What are your thoughts? Be sure to share them with us as well as SB Nation friends Sactown Royalty.
Predictions:
* Warriors by 6.
* Monta continues his hot hand and goes 20+ on points.
* Arco doesn't come within 10 decibels of the Roaracle.
