The Warriors absolutely own the Lakers! Yea, right. The Lakers have the Warriors number. It's actually pretty ugly. The Warriors have lost 8 straight to the Lakers and haven't won at Staples since January of 2003, nearly 5 years! But that's all going to change tonight. This is a different Warriors team from those of years prior. The streaks end tonight and this is how they plan on doing it:

This game is part of NBA Heritage Week. It's a celebration and appreciation of what the NBA was and what the NBA is now. Check out what NBA.com has done to keep the great history alive.

The Lakers are coming off back to back wins and are on a nice 3 day rest. They should be rested enough to keep up with the Warriors running and gunning, so it will be up to the Warriors to tighten up the D while continuing to push their style of play on offense. To win, the Warriors will have to overcome Kobe, Odom, Bynum, and the rest of the supporting cast along with some nasty history. If the Warriors win, the streak ends and the Warriors take a 1 game lead over the Lakers in the Pacific standings.

A lot of you will probably be watching this game even closer than normal if you've thrown in your entry for the latest GSOM Ticket Contest. We appreciate all the entries. Warriors win a close one

but can't contain kobe or vladimir radmanovic (or however you spell his name). Vlad goes for 27 and Kobe 40. Even Vujancic goes big with 17, but the Warriors find a way in the waning minutes to pull out another win!

The Warriors will be wearing hardwood classics jerseys on Tuesday against the Spurs but not on Friday against the Lakers.

Theory re Baron on Kobe

Kobe usually get the " all star " calls from refs but with Baron on him the refs can't give all those touch fouls to Kobe or they'll foul BD out early

i think the reason we got no scoring is because freakin barnes starting instead of harrington. i think harrington is a big part of our scoring whether or not he is doing good in the field or bad. i would much rather see harrington than barnes hoo i think is a second half player than first.

My one MAJOR knock on don nelson

is that he'll bench a big whose playing well to go uber small (6'8" and under) and stick with it longer than he needs EVEN when it ain't working. I think the dubs were like -9 when he did that. Sheesh...
He could be worse than baron when it comes to ego.
