My GSW First Round Playoff Preview Video

Hey guys, new video to start the series tomorrow. LETS GO WARRIORS!

Alright, I took about half an hour to make this short video. I wanted to make something to get ready for the playoffs but didn't have much time so I had to rush it.

Kind of choppy, I couldn't put my best into it but it is a warm up for my Monta Ellis mix anyways. Either way I hope Warriors fans or even non Warriors fans enjoy this before the playoffs start.

What can I say...
Dude your videos are sick.  The way the music always fits in with the timing of the video takes some serious skill.

You really put this joint togethor in 30 mins?
Props.

The only way to stop Monta...

Baron Davis: A coach?
I'm sorry, I just don't think he's the type. I'd be really surprised to see Coach Davis in 2020. (gotten from your fade of Johnson to Davis.)

Anyway, your video was excellent but you used a wierd fade from 1:09 to 1:11 that I didn't like at all.

Also the pauses of black were a bit too long.

I reaaaallly reaaallly liked it, I'm just picky because I like film too.

It's all good.
I didn't really have time to think it through, the transition in the end was my attempt of showing Nellie's switch from Dallas to Golden State.

Would have been better if I used a picture with Nellie & Dirk to Nellie & Baron... instead of Nellie & Avery to Nellie and Baron.

It's too late to make any changes but no big, just felt like I should put together a little something for this playoff series.

Yeah, true
I probboly couldn't of done better in 30 minutes myself.

I have to be honest
Part of me wants to see the Warriors keeping winning in the playoffs just to see more of 510's videos. Off the hook!

Wow.
There's honestly no reason you can't put together packages for FSN or even the Warriors themselves. Nothing would get me more pumped up as a fan, then seeing that before they announce starters.

You should seriously consider putting together a portfolio and sending it off to FSN and the warriors organization. And that's not a joke.

Yeah
I agree with coma.  Your video editing is better than some professionals' mixing, and I've taken Multimedia classes with Video Production in the same building.

You using Adobe Premiere to edit your mixes?  How long have you been playing with video editing?

by MVP on Apr 22, 2007 1:19 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

not long
I've been mixing for almost a year now. I just started off with Windows Movie Maker, and then started using Sony Vegas in November. So it's been about 6 months so far making these kinds of mixes.

I'll be looking to use Premiere soon though, probably in the summer.

Only thing i'm lacking in these Warriors videos are the footage. If I had a bunch of clips of all our plays/fastbreaks I could have made a really fast paced highlight video to show how fast and exciting our team is.

I wanted to add in clips of our "swarming defense" so the viewers can see how much we actually frustrate Dirk, Harris, Terry etc. whenever they have the ball... but I couldn't find any clips of our defense except for some blocks.
