Sam Smith Strikes Again! JR to Charlotte?

Chicago Tribune: "The Bobcats have salary cap space they say they'll use and Rashard Lewis is the obvious target. You figure the Magic will keep Darko Milicic and is out of the big free agent bidding. The Bobcats could play Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace (assuming they re-signs him) in the backcourt with Lewis and Emeka Okafor up front and perhaps make a nice jump, and then use the No. 8 pick for a big man, though there's talk of using that pick in a deal for Warriors guard Jason Richardson."

I dare you to read this (http://www.hoopsworld.com/article_22392.shtml), dated June 20th, to see where Sam Smith got this brilliant idea from ... GRRR

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

stole your thunder ehh?
What do you think about the possibility of the Warriors trading out JR and rooney for maggette and cassel?

Rooney?
Wow .. I actually don't know who that is?

Thanks
And no, I don't see that happening.

Maggette has smoothed out his issues with Dunleavy and things are looking better for him sticking around. And Cassell is the only proven PG on the Clippers roster.

I would have written this question
on your q&a but it wouldnt let me add a comment for some reason

so does Sam Smith have inside sources
or does he just boost other's material?

by Zig on Jun 25, 2007 10:50 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

This is the third time ..
In two months that he's basically stolen from my pure speculation. I never "cite sources" or say things like "word is..." unless I actually have verfiable stuff (which is hard to get, because teams don't like to talk and agents - which most people cite as 'league sources' or 'sources close to the situation' always lie).

We've caught Sam a bunch of times over the past three seasons taking things from various writers at HoopsWorld. It is rather saddening because we can't really do anything about it.

What's most disgusting, though, is how much he hates the internet .. he always talks about how we're not real journalists and stuff like that. Hmm ...

If we do make this trade does
it leave us enough cap room to sign Gerald Wallace?

by dallaswarrior on Jun 25, 2007 12:48 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Theoretically
Yes, but then you'd have the same problem of re-signing Monta and Beans.
