sign boykins!!!!!!

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Earl Boykins will become a free agent, forgoing the $3 million player option on his contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Warriors brass should really think about signing Boykins! This is why i think they should sign him. First off he is a great ball handler and can find open players, secondly he would be perfect off the bench for points and assist and not to mention steals. And finally he would fit perfect into Nelly's style of offense. what do you guys think?

Also of note...

Bobcats stud swingman Gerald Wallace and our favorite former little man, Earl Boykins, have opted out of their respective contracts and will be unrestricted free agents on July 1. I have a feeling both are going to be seeking outlandish deals, but either would fit in great with the Dubs' uptempo style. I know quite a few of you GSOMers are fond of Wallace, and Boykins is obviously a great change-of-pace guy at the backup point guard spot. Thoughts?

I've been blowing Boykins' horn for the past week. I agree that he'd be a perfect fit at backup PG. Others have voiced concerns about his lack of D, but I think his positives -- lights out midrange game and FT, speed, veteran leadership (not too veteran, as he's only 30), ability to run a fast-paced offense -- outweigh that.

One other caveat: as JAE pointed out, because we're so close to the cap we may have decide whether to use our MLE on Barnes or Boykins (or someone else). That makes the decision a bit tougher.

Boykins belongs in the Bay?
Why does he belong here any more than he belongs in any of the other cities he's played for?  Personally I prefer titties on shorties.

do you guys think it would take to sign Boykins? I'd love to have him back on the team.
