I'm excited...

I found out last night when my friend told me she made the squad! I'm probably way more excited than she is! Her name is Thera and it's her first season as a Warrior Girl- and she's an actual Warrior fan! We went to the playoff games together, so it's nice to know that at least one of the WG's is an actual fan- it's the only reason she wanted to try out!

Cos honestly, I'm not really feelin' em.

I mean, they're fine, but not particularly fine. The least hot of the women contestants on the last episode of "so you think you can dance?" was hotter than the hottest of the new Warrior girls.

Then again, it's all about the passion and the moves, not the looks, right?

Warrior girl conspiricy

The head director Susan cut all the girls from last year because of "drama" issues. she made them try out and waited to the last minute and cut them one by one. It was actually very brutal. She kept the 3 that didn't sign a petition to get her fired last year and my source is pretty damn good.

Funny thing is the girls are going to try and go public just to let people know how bad she has been to them. who woulda thought.. Just a dance team

Who thought of this RIDICULOUS idea?? Voting for the last two WG's? Why - so the girls selected could feel even more so that their team membership was based on a poularity contest? And a BIG thumbs down on the new team. I already miss the oldies, but goodies. :)

voting

i think the idea of voting is false consciousness. how democratic is it when the people that we are voting on are basically already picked for us. as people mentioned already, they're pretty impartial to all of the dancers (looks-wise and maybe dancewise at that), so it seems that they haven't necessarily kept their audience in mind when giving us so called selections (this is a generalization based on the handful of discussions in a few threads).
