Warriors girl conspiricy!!!

The head director Susan cut all the girls from last year because of "drama" issues. She made them try out and waited to the last minute and cut them one by one. It was actually very brutal. She kept the 3 that didn't sign a petition to get her fired last year and my source is pretty damn good.

Funny thing is the girls are going to try and go public just to let people know how bad she has been to them. Who woulda thought...?  It may sound like a bunch of girls wining because they didn't make the team but 12 of the girls from last year are in on this. If more then 75% of the team thinks something's up it's kinda hard to ignore. The girl who I heard this from was a 3 year vet and would have been the most experienced on the team this year so obviously talent wasn't being judged (like I'm one to judge dance talent). Also, these girls were the ones who taught the dance classes to the girls trying out before the regular tryouts not to mention the ones Susan had promoting the tryout 3 to 4 times a week at various places. I've been asked to spread the story just so people know.

Just the sheer fact to have them try out knowing that she wouldn't keep them. That's the funny thing between girls and guys. A guy would  punch someone in the mouth and eventually everything would be better. Girls on the other hand.... Scheme and manipulate and try and ruin every emotion you have, Crazy.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

If it is all true
and it looks like it, that is just sad.  If there are people signing a petition to get you fired odds are, you should be fired.

We
should start a fire Susan petition on GSoM. I've also heard this story, I work with someone who's niece is/was a Warrior Girl last season and he told me about this but I thought there was no way it could be true but your post pretty much made me believe it completely. I wonder if there's anything we could do to show last years team our support.

This is so ridiculous
How could someone possibly do that? It seems like the Warriors organization must have known about this. They shouldn't have let the tryout happen. Now the only way to really fix the situation would be to do the whole thing over again, but would the Warriors be able to do so?

The girls who were cut
Definilty don't want back on the team. They just want to be heard. Last year they did complain, many times, and were told to shut up or quit.

The one warriors girl this year, Leah, kinda gross lookin... Is Susans best friend. Just real shady and now i've gotta hear about it everyday so just doin what I can to help them.

I didn't mean back on the team with Susan still there, but I understand. They definitely deserve better than what they got.

Whoa that's crazy
Anyone with connections- tell any of the old members of the Warrior Girl crew to drop us a line. We can do a Q&A or even an anonymous one. We'd love to help them get their story out. If head director Susan wants some space too that's fine.

GSoM is voice of the people! I think it's important everyone gets a space to voice their thoughts and experiences.

I heard that too
I heard about this too. This Susan babe is on a power trip and felt threatened so she cut all girls that were a threat to her. She also tried to take the girls playoff tickets they were owed and was going to sell them on e bay. Could you imagine if you were the guest of one of the girls for the all those games during the season, and you couldn't get tix for some of the best games in Warriors history. Those girls don't get paid $hit, the least they deserve is a bit of respect.

You kinda lost me
When you spouted that stuff at the end about men being better at resolving our differences than women.

Last I checked, all last year's Warriorgirls were still healthy and alive. Can't say the same for the millions of people killed violently every year, in wars, ethnic cleansings, random attacks, domestic disputes, classroom shootings, etc. etc. -- 99.9% of them by men. Crazy, indeed.

Yeah, that's the funny thing between girls and guys...

by Sleepy Freud on Jul 29, 2007 11:14 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

He never said
that the guys' way of dealing with issues was better than the womens' way.  He just noted that men tend to resolve their differences physically (as with the wars, shootings, etc that you have mentioned), while women would go at it a different way.

But on the subject, Susan needs to go.

by bayagrow on Jul 30, 2007 12:40 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Uh, no
There was a clear value judgment implied.Try to read carefully. And it is on subject, since the diarist chose to use an isolated, alleged incident to make at backhanded slap at all women.

On the incident itself: until I see a real source to corroborate it, I'm just going assume this diary is about 75% BS.

by Sleepy Freud on Jul 30, 2007 8:42 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well
My girlfriend is one of the girls who was cut and treated improperly so thats where all my information is from. I've been hearing about this for the past year and when she saw me messing around on Gsom she asked me to post something and thats why I have. It's 100% true and really wouldn't waste my team making up a story like this.

If you choose to believe or not is your decsion

And I never said anything about guys settling differences in a supperior way then women. As stated above it is just a difference of guys resulting to being physical and girls taking a mental approach.

by Spidz34 on Jul 30, 2007 11:57 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Fair enough
If you had been clearer about your source, I would have been a lot less skeptical. It's just not my style to start a witch-hunt against someone based on one post I read on Golden State of Mind. On the face of it, it does sound like this woman in charge is a royal b*tch at the very least; but I'd still like to see a real news story on the subject, in which the bitch/witch in question is given an actual opportunity to defend herself. I think that's the way it's supposed to work in America.

As for the other stuff, this statement:

A guy would  punch someone in the mouth and eventually everything would be better. Girls on the other hand.... Scheme and manipulate and try and ruin every emotion you have,

Contains a very clear value judgment, whether you intended it that way in your heart or not. The fact is, if one actually considers peace a good thing, one has to allow that the "girl's way" is not just "equal," but far, far better than ours.

I always roll my eyes when people try to make generalizations about the type of people who commit horrific crimes: it's the commies ... or the hip-hop lowlifes ... or the muslims ...  All these generalizations fall apart on even the most cursory examination. The one generalization that doesn't fall apart is this one: it's men.

Anyway, peace.

by WG21 on Jul 30, 2007 2:33 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I'm calm, dude!!!!! ;-D
I just didn't think the backhanded slap at women as a group was really called for. I can assure you my wife, my sister, and my women friends would have taken at least as badly. I don't think the author meant it a mean way, but the wording was pretty unenlightened. Figured it was good opportunity to point out the fact that men are, on the whole, much, much more harmful and malevolent then women. I mean, it should be obvious to anyone who's lived in this world for more than a few years, but somehow a lot of people don't quite seem to get it.

As for the actual subject of the diary: as I said, I don't doubt that that Susan character a total beeeeeyotch, I just think she should be given a chance to defend herself before being strung up by the GSoM lynchmob...

Girls, All I really want is girls!
The girls that got let go will probably be better off financially anyway.  They got paid trash.  Its a shame they got let go the way they did, but in the grand scheme of things, they will get over it.  This leads me to mention that for as nice the WG were, man they were very run of the mill looking women.  I mean, yeah, they were nice looking dancers, but they were missing that, wow, she is an unreal hot dancer look.  I haven't seen the new crop, but I hope they are a little easier on the eyes.

hmmmm...
you have brought up an interesting point.  I have been a warrior girl for 3 years and have heard people say this.  The funny thing is its a lose lose situation.  its hard to find victorias secret looking people who can actually dance...if everyone were as hot as that, people would complain about how horrible there dancing is..and visa versa!!  I guess it's also all about taste...you may not think any of the girls were hot!! and thats your opinion..but so many people do think those girls are hot!! so its all about how you look at it. it still doesn't change the fact that we were treated as less than human beings...

Let's Imagine for a Moment
that Don Nelson had the entire team sign a petition to get him fired.  Would he hire them all back?  Don't think so...  Could it be that last year's dancers hung themselves with their own self-imposed noose?  The statement that the only girls on the team this year are the ones who didn't sign this said petition is not true, and neither is the comment that Susan kept all the playoff tickets and sold them on e-bay.  Also, only 7 returning WGs auditioned this year, and 3 of them made it... so where is The Conspiracy? Moral of the story:  DON'T believe everything you read here.

Maybe the fact that whoever started this diary can't even spell "conspiracy" has something to do with it.  Of the new dance team, 5 are college graduates and 4 are working toward it.  Many new dancers have prior professional experience, as well as in the NBA.  Maybe we should all withhold judgement until we see them actually perform!

The NBA evaluators gave the 06-07 Warrior Girls the NUMBER ONE EVALUATION last year, so really... how bad can Susan be???

No
I am not Susan, but I did see an invitation from GSOM for other points of view, so wanted to share a different perspective, that's all.  As much as we all love last year's team, it sounds like they took an inherent risk by staging an upheaval.  That risk backfired, and now they are looking outward for sympathy.  Well, they have mine too.

by funkymonkey on Jul 30, 2007 5:27 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Conspiracy
Sorry. I didn't spell check. But I know it's not a search for sympathy. Also, a lot of the girls didn't try out because of Susan that's why only 7 actually came. I'm not trying get completely involved in this, as I said, the only reason for my post was because I was asked to. They just wanted people to hear and would like some action taken against Susan because of the stress she has caused them. I can't speak for the team nor do I want to but I know this story is being told to me by two of the four that got cut and they have many other girls backing them.

I hope my grammar is acceptable this time...

All your points
are valid... and you do bring up a good point about the petition.

Maybe they did "hang themselves"......

But what I wrote is true and it came from a Warrior Girl. So don't say I'm making it up because what I have written is what I've been told from some girls on the 06-07 team.

Isn't it kind of funny that there are only 3 retuning girls to a team of around 16? I believe there were around 10 the past few years.

I will repeat what I wrote on the other diary
WOW,I can't believe GSoM is even spending time on this mess. WHO CARES! I actually know some of the girls from the old team and the 4 that were cut. Those ladies made that coach's job hell last year on purpose. The WG ran their dance team themselves the prior year and didn't want anyone new coming in telling them how or what to do. 2 of the 4 tried out for 49'ers (missed a Warrior game for it) and didn't make it, and that's why they came back. 1 couldn't dance and the same "friends" that were cut with her complained  that she couldn't dance. Also I heard 2 of the cut girls messed with the same Warrior player. I don't think they are suppose to be doin' that. If you hated it so much, why the HELL did you tryout. HMMM let's see, maybe PLAYOFFS and the attention!  I'm just disappointed that time is being wasted on these so called "ladies" and the sappy story at the top sounds like a damn Cheerleading Soap. BYE BYE 06-07 Good Luck 07-08 and GO WARRIORS!

Now lets be LOGICAL
IN a NUT SHELL. The warrior girl team last year was good. but you had your scragalers.(some were returners).the dark haired one sara always messed up on the court, and grey wasnt very attractive in person AT ALL. there were girls sitting out alot of games. and DONT think we DONT notice when girls arent on the court..i mean comon..alot of the time theyr short routines that they repeated every game were executed rarely..This team NEEDED a Make over and if there was THAT much drama off the court it definately showed ON the court. so im glad susan kept the vets she has..wise choices.. i wouldve liked to see jazzmine carly audrey and geri back at LEAST but hey you gotta do what cha gotta do

Y would they go public if theres NOTHING that can be done. dude the season is over. your not a WG anymore. half of them didnt even try out again. so whats the problem. y not move on with your life? lol i cant even beieve im on here commenting on this subject..i should be drinking a beer..but the team was unbalanced last year. some girls werent cute. and some girls couldnt dance. the vets that are returners this year are all gorgeous and can dance. so i mean hey..she got rid of the BAD seeds and the good seeds but as a sacrafice. so god speed and good luck with the new team! id like to see more pussy cat doll routines that was amazing..the we believe shirts under the button ups..my girlfriend wants one!

i dunno if pussy cat dolls
was the right direction.  perhaps they are good dancers that are able to bring sexual appeal through dancing, but isn't it ironic that Susan Hovey called upon a c-rate performance group as the model for this dance team?  At least go for something like ... i dunno...N'Sync.  What we need is the "boom-cat" of laurie ann gibson! lets bring her in now that P.Diddy doesn't want her!

Some explanations...
Some comments on this board imply that the girls that got cut are complaining just because they did not make the team.  Others say that only half the girls from last year tried to come back, so what does it matter?  Another pointed out that there were plenty of girls that sat out games, implying that they just did not want to show up.  So let me say that:

I think most loyal fans appreciated the WG's and the effort they put forth to entertain the crowd.  And because they have rooted for the Warriors franchise, they also appreciate loyalty and are understandably upset that this year's dance team is almost entirely new from last year's.  This loss of familiarity, especially since many of the more popular girls are the ones who are not returning, is a bit sad for many of the devoted fans.

The fact that "only half the girls" tried out for this year's team should speak volumes about the experience taken from last season.  Pretty much every girl, veterans and rookies alike, felt last season was not positive, and for many reasons.  Disorganized rehearsals, poor time management, cronyism to people who were not talented enough to really help the team (like the costume designers), lack of leadership, unprofessionalism from the director, and also blatant disrespect to the girls in general.  I can see that former WG's have commented here and their words should be taken seriously, as they were actually there, and many of the other commenters from this board were not.  These claims should not be dismissed as ravings of bitter people bent on revenge.  Many of the girls saw the ineptness of the director from the earliest formation of the team and that is why the push was made to remove her (a push that was not made until it was obvious that things were terrible and would not change).  Was that their downfall?  Maybe...But the way this was handled in cutting the majority of those who wanted to come back, try again, and start fresh this year is deplorable.

I would just like to say that I hope everyone that did return enjoys the season.  And this years team deserves a chance to show what they can do.  I know that even though many of the girls from last season are upset with how this has developed, they will still support the franchise and hope that the Warriors continue to win.  But, overall, the experience from last year for the WG's was not up to standard and if the fans of last years WG Dance team want to know why, they only need to look to who was running the show.

Let me set the record straight...
What all of the old vets have failed to realize is that how you conduct yourself on the squad will carry over into any audition. You also don't realize how small the dance community is. So don't expect to ever walk into any audition without the judges and directors already knowing how unstable you are as a person and how unacceptable your behavior is as a teammate. Talk about childish girls... you don't tell people they are an evil human being and expect to be taken seriously.
First of all, there were more judges than just Susan.  Second of all, most of the office staff didn't want those girls back either, including the vice president. If Susan was so awful, then what would compel you to tryout again? The promise that things would be different next year were coming from someone in the office who will probably be losing his job.  Not the best source....
As for the girls not getting paid and such- that is the nature of the job.  A real dancer is not a dancer for the money.  It's for the love of dancing.  The Warriors actually pay their dance team more than other NBA teams. Dancers do not get paid for the calendar shoot and tickets are actually harder to come by than you'd think.  The Warrior Girls are a part of the organization, but NOT as important as the old vets like to think.
What's sad is that you have the time and energy to wage a war that no one in the Bay really cares about but you. Come next season, the Warrior Fans will see that the cancer has been removed and replaced with a new group of girls who are beautiful, talented, and personable.  Have fun ranting and raving now because soon you will be a thing of the past.
I Believe!

Come on people...
This has gotten way out of hand. Here's the thing, every girl needs to try out each season vet or not. It is NOT only 1 person's decision but many people including the organization on who makes the team or not. They are pointing fingers to one person who I'm sure does not have that much control or authority of who makes it or who doesn't.
If you're NOT a returning girl then move on. You did it and you're done now. Think bigger, set higher goals for yourself. Don't waist your time with all this.
And for the new team, as a guy I think they are all pretty in there own way. You need to remember that it isn't all about the looks but the talent.
Plus the Glam Team has not even gotten there hands on the girls yet. It will be a huge transformation. Did you people see lasts years girls at the tryouts? All I have to say was WOW. I couldn't believe it was the same set of girls on the court when the season started. The Glam Team does wonders and I'm excited to see what those two girls come up with this season. Big Ups to them.
See you at the Games,
Rod

Takes Guts
On the other side of all this, perhaps Susan deserves some praise in having the guts to putting together a cohesive squad.

As director, she has the right to select dancers she feels are the best for the team. If these girls are banding together so strongly now, then how much could they have liked her in the first place?

I'm sure the current Warrior girls would have good things to say about Susan along with the girls remaining from last year's squad.

This year's dance squad will probably be a powerhouse along with our Warriors!

Sure, we can revisit last season and it was great. But do we want to end up in the same place? No. We want to go further.

Let's start dancing and cheering and playing ball and looking ahead. Go Warriors and Warrior Girls!

Heres something from a 07-08 WG
Setting EVERYTHING STR8...my source is a Current Warrior girl and she said that Susan Was A HARD CORE work your ass off or go home coach and the ones who have BEEN on the team under their own supervision didnt like it so they caused a BIG ruckus and wanted things like it was before susan came in a regulated...POINT BLANK ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN..the GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS ORGANIZATION DOES  NNNNNOT CARE ...PRotest ALLL you WANT NOTHING WILL CHANGE..susan is HERE and HERE TO STAY..we have a BOMMMMMMB SQUAD THIS YEAR...amazing talent..amazing beauty...and amazing support whether you like it or not..i agree..ALL THIS WILL BE YESTERDAYS NEWS come the 1st game when you see what this team has to offer..the best talent. stronger than Miami HEAT (from what ive seen) weve got girls that came from numerous NFL and NBA teams that came to DANCE WITH THE WARRIORS....we have an EXTREME amount of talent and professionals on this team. 13 rookies who are only rookies to the WARRIORS but Vets in PRO DANCE...so YOU DO THE MATH. forget all these allegations and accept susan with OPEN ARMS. she does things the way she wants and its SUPPOSE to be like that SHES THE BOSS the fact that the 3,4,5,6 and 7 year vets didnt like it was ONE thing but BEKUS they were CUT after coming back and KISSING her A** they want to PICKETT HER and be "heard" KNOWING if they would have been picked the brown nosing would have continued and this blog would be NON EXISTENT . PLEASE THINK about that before you go jumping on wagons that are headed for the cliffs. STOP ITT. YOUR NOT BEING FAIR to the NEW WGs that HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS VENDETTA Against Susan Hovey. Give Her a CHANCE and GIVE THE SQUAD A CHANCE...Some GOOD things about susan is that she was FLEXIBLE in letting girls take off games when needed..girls were recruited to other teams and she encouraged them to try out and follow their dream where ever it may lead. Laker Girl coach doesnt allow their girls to go to other auditions for TV shows nor do they allow them to have AGents..(its frowned upon) BUT susan EMAILED CASTING CALLS trying to HELP the girls get out and dance..Susan accepts Tattoos and Piercings allowing the girls to express themselves and SHES OK WITH IT...Visual tattoos and piercings are PROHIBITED on more than 80% of Professional teams. Susan Did NOT take play off tickets i was at every one of my girls games. EVERY SINGLE ONE. when there were extras the girls gave them to eachother to allow other family members to attend. SUSAN DID NOT TAKE THEM...the designer for the WG PAul Atteu (anna nichole smiths designer) Designed some of the girls costumes...she wanted them to LOOK THE BEST...PS SUSAN NEVER WEIGHED A GIRL A SINGLE DAY IN THE SEASON, yet other teams have to stay within a 3 lb range from what they weighed the day the were selected...ALOT of back stabbing went down last year and NOBODY is looking at it and putting themselves in susans shoes. NOBODY mentioned how susan was a director ON A TEAM and GSW CALLED HER and said WE WANT YOU...moved her to the bay 1 DAY BEFORE TRYOUTS..her daughter was left behind until she settled....susan sacraficed alot coming out here and i think she deserves alot more credit for what shes done and how shes helped this squad in becoming the best..HAVE YOU SEEN PREVIOUS YEARS CALENDERS...has the warriors EVER seen anything look this HOTT. COSTUMES looked GREAT ..the girls were CLEAN CUT..it was a GREAT season for the WARRIORS..Nobody appreciates it..Funny how you see THICK not THIN. all of this is WRONG . you DONT KNOW SHI* so please stop. Im not susan but my girl works with her and this is all ive heard from her..she said she hated all of the drama from last year she just wanted to DANCE and also said that if THIS Is what NBA DANCE is all about shed rather be at a studio TRULY doing what she loves...DANCE.

REREAD THIS AND WRITE ANOTHER NEGATIVE BLOG ABOUT THE WARRIOR GIRLS OR SUSAN AND SEE HOW STUPID YOU WILL LOOK. i SET it str8... it SHOULD STOP HERE...NEXT SUBJECT
