From J RIch 4 MVP's Previous Diary
Here is the link to the Warriors first summer league game against the Hornets. All you need to do is go to ESPN.com and click the link and then click "watch" under the Dubs scoreboard. It's live right now so if you're interested sign up and watch. We can also use this diary as a sort of open game thread. Enjoy and go Dubs.

Thanks to both J RIch 4 MVP and nativeson. Just trying to consolidate. J RIch 4 MVP's open game thread idea is a good one.

by Sleepy Freud on Jul 7, 2007 1:39 PM PDT reply actions

Nelli
He's had a few shots where you're thinking, "Naw, he wouldn't pull up from there, would he?" Then he drains it. He's coming off screens for pull-up Js, had a couple of 'em from deep. He obviously has a sweet stroke. Sh*t, two more threes while I was typing this!

Decent
first half. Obviously Belinelli lit it up, he has half of our points. Buike played pretty solid and Powell had a few nice plays. Pierre Pierce look ok at times and at others he didn't look like he could even dribble the ball. Let's hope we see some others step up in the 2nd half.

POB is disappointing
He should be more seasoned than alot of guys there...he's  7 foot and not dominating.

thank goodness we have Azubiuke and Marco.

how did Lasme look? i tuned in too late, haven't seen him

if he gives us anything we might not need powell

by OptionZero @ Golden State Of Mind on Jul 7, 2007 1:56 PM PDT reply actions

I
honestly think we should try to shop POB around and see what we can get for him. I don't think he'll ever be productive on our team. I made a diary the other day about seeing if the Celtics would be interested in him for Leon Powe. I think Powe could really help us out on the boards and he has some offense too. POB has neither.

by J Rich 4 MVP on Jul 7, 2007 1:56 PM PDT reply actions

Marco would have scored 50...
...if Pierre Pierce stopped being a ballhog and pass the ball more often.

I don't even think Marco was at his best that game. He wasn't moving around a lot and was very shy to go call for the ball.

But man, when he did get the ball... he shot lights out. Did you guys notice, that everytime Marco made a shot over someone, there would be people in the crowd saying "Step yo D up, son!" to the defense. LMAO.

Enjoyed the game
Seeing Belinelli from Italy (my home country) playing from London (my city of residence) was great and it was great to see the Warriors win. Although it was only a summer league game, the Ws played great and Belinelli and Azubuike can do really well this season. It's a shame about Powell and POB but Pierce was ok (albeit a ball-hog). Does anyone know if there will be another live stream for the sixers game, please let me know.
Thanks, Zaki.
