GSoM Night II - WE GSOM!

Last week, I dropped a couple hints about the sequel to the original GSoM Night. We're stepping it up a notch with the help of GSoM friend and Warriors group ticket sales representative, Chris Murphy. He hooked it up last year, and he's going to make sure it's even better this year. Last year we had 350 GSoM people buy tickets to the game. That's just a crazy amount of people. This year, we're looking to increase that number and increase our presence inside the arena. We couldn't have done it without all of you last year, and we can't do it without all of you this year. Represent the GSoM family.

Before I get to the details, let me tell you this, GSoM Night was the most fun I've ever had at a regular season Warrior game. Hands down, no doubt about it. Let's make GSoM Night 2 top the first one. So without further ado, here are all the details for GSoM Night 2:

1) When is it?
Opening night vs Utah - Tuesday, October 30
Sorry to everyone who can't make it that night, but c'mon it's opening night! I've never been to an opening night before, so to spend it with all of you will make my first opening night special.

2) Courtside Shootaround - NO MORE SPOTS AVAILABLE
Just like last year we'll be able to go down courtside around 6p to watch the players warm up. Unless you're ballin out of control, rarely do you ever get to see the players up close and personal.

3) Free GSoM Night T-shirts
Remember the free We Believe t-shirts the Warriors gave out during the playoffs? Well we're bringing that back but with some GSoM flavor. Everyone who purchases a ticket through GSoM gets a free t-shirt designed by our very own Tony.psd. WE GSOM!

4) GSoM Raffle
More free stuff! You want some free Warriors merchandise? How about some free Warriors memorabilia? Or how do free tickets to future games sound? Well we're giving all that away in a GSoM raffle! All you have to do is buy a ticket for GSoM Night 2 and be present at the time of the raffle to have a chance to win.

5) High 5's in the Tunnel (16 & under)
How cool is this?! During player introductions, 20 randomly chosen people aged 16 and under will get to stand in the tunnel and high 5 the Warrior players as they get introduced. I wish I was 16 just so I could do this.

6) Jumbotron Love
Just like last year, they're going to zoom to our section and put us up on the Jumbotron during the game. When that happened last year, we went bananas and showed the rest of the crowd what GSoM is all about. Expect more of the same this year.

7) Family Friendly Section
We have always said that this is a family friendly site, and we intend to maintain that across our GSoM Nights. This year, we're setting up a family friendly fan section and a rabid Warriors fan section. The sections will still be next to each other, but we can give the families with young kids their own space while the rabid fans (like me!) can go crazy in our section too.

8) At least 500 of your GSoM friends
We're looking to build on last year's success and are looking to sell at least 500 of these tickets. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, facebook or myspace friends and anyone else you can think of about GSoM Night 2. We'll rock the house. No doubt.

Allright enough of the excitement, I know you just want to order the tickets now. But let me tell you one last thing. For individual game tickets, the general public can usually buy them starting in mid-September to early October. We're not the general public. Through GSoM, you can order your tickets for opening night today, not a month from now like the general public. If you didn't get season tickets but want to attend opening night, we've got you covered. There are 500 guaranteed tickets to be sold to the GSoM faithful. Hurry up and get your tickets before the general public has a chance to purchase them. Now, here's how you get your tickets.

Just like last year, our boy Chris Murphy of the Warriors is in charge of tickets.

Cost: $30 (regularly $35)
Seat Location: Club 200 - Sections 205-212 and if we fill that up 221-228

There are 2 ways to order:
2) Email Chris: ctmurphy@gs-warriors.com
3) Download, print, and mail the GSoM Night 2 flyer

Tony.psd has been gracious enough to provide graphics for GSoM Night 2 and will be designing the GSoM Night 2 t-shirt that will be handed out for free at the game. As something to whet your appetite, Tony's hooked up some hot desktop wallpaper. All of us are using it already.

Feeling it, but what about...
We sport something that could pressure the Dubs admin. to start reconsidering their uniforms/logo.  I feel u playing off the "We Believe" thing, but if there were a large group of us there sporting shirts with some sick new logo, like the one u recently posted Azubuike wearing, it could possibly provide some momentum behind a campaign to get the Dubs to go for a new look.  Get folks outside the GOSM community excited about a new and improved logo.

Just a thought...

500 though? Come on my beautiful Dub peoples- let's roll even deeper and try to get 1000 GSoMers. Let's do this!

NEWBIE.
Been reading the Blog, but never signed up. So, Im pretty much a newbie, but best believe I'm a diehard fan like no other.

Sounds like an incredible event. Will try to gather as many folks and head out to this event.

Opening Night games are great.

Also, my opinion on the shirt is lose the "Unstoppable baby" on the back, but thats personally my opinion.

HOT LIKE MARK CUBAN'S BREATH IN THE PLAYOFFS!

can't wait.....
For my birthday, I will ask my parents to let me attend this..... I'm hoping for some sort of carpool service... if not I will try my best to make it. I'm under 16, turning 15 in about a month... the best birthday gift ever will be to be able to go down there during player introductions.

Can't wait for this......

alright!!
count me in! any one gonna bart there? thats my only transportation.

I'll probably take bart.... where are you coming from???

Anybody in daly city???

by chr1scross on Aug 16, 2007 3:11 AM PDT   0 recs

I'm already gonna buy my tickets
Wifey and I will be there!! Where can we order T-shirt sizes?

Also, the design is ok, but what about a 'Warriors come out and plaaaay' on the back with the GSOM info on the front?

Regardless, I'm there this year!!

SO
SHOULD WE BUY OUR OWN TICKETS OR BUY THEM FROM SOMEONE FROM GSOM?????

by warriorboi4lyfe on Aug 16, 2007 8:48 AM PDT   0 recs

TONS OF FUN
Sounds like a blast and although I'll be there, I won't be able to join in the festivities since I'll be sitting comfortably in my seats down below!  Last year I thought about buying a ticket just to join everyone for the pre-game shootaround and then just head back to my seats during the game.  Getting a free GSoM t-shirt designed by Tony.psd makes it that much more enticing!  Hmmmm?

And about the t-shirt Tony.psd...although it's a nice idea to re-create the "We Believe" style, maybe you should use the one from The Warriors movie and move the Golden State of Mind stuff on the back.  Just a thought though!

Can't wait til Opening Night!!!

I know it's not official...
Me and Atma talked up on this last night and I hope Fantasy is cool about it... but what if I told you that you could WIN A TONY.psd LIMITED EDITION SIGN in our raffle!?! That's right, the design will be an original piece I will only produce one of... you won't be seeing me or anyone else holding it up... and of course it'll have your favorite Warrior Dunkin', drvin', doin' something on the action tip! I've started on the piece and will be given out to one lucky person at our raffle! The sign will be Full color... 22x28 in size on a foam core backing and clear coated (using clear as heck tape!) so you don't get any nacho cheese on the piece! How's that for a give away?!?

Win a sign like the one 'm holding!

The link for the flyer at the bottom of the post has a typo in it,  An extra couple characters.  Copy and paste this and you should be able to download it.

I've never done club level or higher at the Arena (actually only been to a couple games).  My preference is if I'm gonna be forkin up money for Mr. Cohan i better get a better view than on TV.  So I get lower bowl tickets.  The experience more than makes up for the view or price.  Anyway, how's the view from the club level?

Looking into it
I know that would be awesome. I'll try to set it up. But it's still 6 months away! Enjoy GSOM Night 2 and I'll keep you posted on #3 later this year.

by Fantasy Junkie on Aug 16, 2007 2:34 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

I really hope I can come to #3...
...because I'm young enough to go to the tunnel.

Of course that means I'm also in school, so I can't go to #2 but maybe #3.

So...
I can bring my whole family along which is around 5 people right?

by BT on Aug 16, 2007 4:03 PM PDT   0 recs

actually I lied...
I'm trying to reach for around 30 people. So theres no limit of amount of tickets one person can buy right?

by BT on Aug 16, 2007 4:28 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

i don't think there is a limit
from what i remember, someone got over 20 last time. unless this is the same person.... is it?

by dj fuzzylogic on Aug 16, 2007 4:30 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

yeah there isnt
a limit..i ordered a total of 22

by djchuckdeez on Aug 16, 2007 4:32 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

No Limit
Uhhhhhhhh! Na na na na.

okay. seriously, there's no limit to the number of tickets you order. I guess you can't order more than 18,000 but I don't think we'll reach that limit.

So order as many as you want!

by Fantasy Junkie on Aug 16, 2007 4:46 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Been signed up for a little while...
Just never posted. Not too many chicks on this board... If any.

Hey, I'm 16. That would be an awesome! Except the fact that J-Rich and Adonal are long gone. )=

I'll try and bring a couple of diehards. Our parents let us skip school the next day last season. Don't see why it should be different this year. Haaa.

So how will the 20 random people be selected to go give high fives in the Warriors tunnel? Will they be chosen at the arena or do we give our names to Chris Murphy???

by ballin on Aug 16, 2007 5:39 PM PDT   0 recs

I'll be there
I had to miss the last one, but I will defiantly make GSoM Night II.  It's going to be so much better than last year's opener against the LA Kobe's (aka the LA rapist's).
RACK IT UP!!! We believed. Playoffs '07. One Dub!

by EternalWarriorsOptimist on Aug 16, 2007 6:41 PM PDT   0 recs

is there a limit on the shirts
Like only do only the first 100 get it. Like how the shootaround is only for the first 150 people that buy tickets. ( I think that note should be added above, so people don't get suprised later)

by Athletix Man on Aug 16, 2007 7:58 PM PDT   0 recs

Chris Murphy is legit
I emailed him and he responded within 10 minutes. I bought 13.

by BT on Aug 17, 2007 3:45 AM PDT to parent up   0 recs

A few Q's..
Only the first 150 get to watch shootarounds??

How will the 20 fans under 16 be chosen?

by chr1scross on Aug 17, 2007 3:29 AM PDT   0 recs

A few A's
Right now, Chris is saying the shootaround is limited to the first 150. Last year, was only supposed to be 75 but after convincing his manager, he let in everyone associated with GSoM.

Since it's opening night, I'm not sure how things will work, but it's best to just buy your ticket early and not worry about being out of the first 150.

Hopefully they accommodate us and allow everyone to watch. That would be awesome.

For your 2nd question, I'm not sure how the 20 will be chosen. I'll speak with Chris in the upcoming weeks to hammer out all the details. It could be just throwing some names in a hat and picking out the first 20. I'm not really sure. If it were up to me, every single ticket purchased through GSOM could be in the tunnel but that would be A LOT of people. Hopefully we can get more than 20 people in there so that every 16 and under GSOMer can get that experience.

by Fantasy Junkie on Aug 17, 2007 2:07 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Damn It
I hella wanna buy tickets, but I already have season tickets. Is there a way I can trade the tix to this game in for the price difference?

by Golden Boy on Aug 17, 2007 1:25 PM PDT   0 recs

Not sure
I'm not sure about trading tickets, but you can always purchase your GSOM ticket and sell your season ticket for that game. I don't think you'll have any trouble selling that season ticket to opening night. In fact, I bet you make a profit on it.

by Fantasy Junkie on Aug 17, 2007 2:02 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Chris Murphy
I spoke with him this morning and he said there's a Warriors offsite today, so he won't be in the office. This could delay his ability to sell the tickets and get back to you as quickly as he normally does. He's received a ton of emails and phone calls already and is handling it as fast as he can. He will no doubt get to all your requests as soon as he can.

by Fantasy Junkie on Aug 17, 2007 2:09 PM PDT   0 recs

Okay
I was wondering if everything was sold out already! B/c I wasn't getting any responses either!

by warriorgirl on Aug 17, 2007 8:50 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Aaaaaahhhh.... why does it have to be a tuesday???
i got school that day. so now i have a dilemma. i'll have to check my schedule. one quick question tho, i know there's no limit. but is there a deadline on buying the tickets? it's prolly ideal for me to buy the tix closer to the date.

Really looking forward to the Bobcats gathering. i hope this time, it works out for me.

by lightz0ut on Aug 18, 2007 8:13 PM PDT   0 recs

Deadline
There's no deadline, but Opening Night tickets will sell out for sure and they'll probably sell out once the general public can get their hands on tickets. Through GSoM, you have a chance to get opening night tickets before the general public does and if I were you, I'd take full advantage of that.

Hope your schedule allows you to make it!

by Fantasy Junkie on Aug 20, 2007 8:41 AM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Chris rocks
I just wanted to say thanks to Chris for working on this for the GSOM community.  Man that guys fast with the response.  Bounced several emails back and forth within minutes and got the order through.  Got good tix for my group of buddies.  Can't wait for the season to start.

Again, thanks to Chris and everyone at GSOM for putting this together.  Can't wait for a "Great Night Out" (damn we need a better slogan than that).
