Biedrins scores 29 pts as Turkey beats Latvia
Biedrins just scored 29 points and got 11 rebounds against Turkey. The game ended 74:68. The second half was really interesting because the score stayed close for all the time so it was a joy to watch it. Biedrins make many beautiful AND1s and dunks.
Unfortunately I missed the first half, but people who saw it said that Andris made a beautiful alley-oop and some enjoyable dunks.
I hope that I'll be able to post a video of this game later (I mean highlights).
P.S. What I really liked was that AB sinked a couple of turnaround jumpers.

You're right!
BTW, is it me, or does the euro cheerleaders look like they took that routine from some team ice skating routine?

Ummm, okay
Snark aside, I have to say that I love the recent influx of posters here with their unpronounceable screen-names, funny turns of phrase, and great youtube clips. You've really helped make this site bearable during the blah post-draft period.
I should add that the clips have made me genuinely excited about AB's prospects this year. From everything I've seen, he seems ready to take another big developmental step, into the elite young center class with guys like Howard, Emeka, Amare, Oden and Yao. Different from all those guys, obviously, but no less effective in his own way. It's really hard to find comps for him, which is part of what makes him so exciting. I foresee a super-efficient 15/10/2 blk per game, 60% from the floor and (hopefully) slightly better than that from the stripe...

Where did he get that turnanound J!!
I think its a little early to place him in the same category as Howard, Amare, and Yao (who knows about Oden) but Emeka is fair. He certainly has the potential to play with those other guys but as we've said all along, he has to get stronger and improve his FTs to the point where he's not risking his dignity every time he's fouled.
There were a couple plays in those videos where his opponent straight pushed him out of the lane (might have been a foul) to get a board which is disconcerning.
