So you wanted Boom Dizzle on the cover of NBA 2K8?

2K8 Basketball Fans rejoice! Tony.psd and GSoM remixed the cover to NBA 2K8 for the XBOX 360 and PS3!

First and foremost no disrespect to Chris Paul for making the cover of 2K Sports: NBA 2K8 Basketball. He's young, gifted, talented and deserved it. But in the Valley of The Golden State, we all wanted our very own Boom Dizzle to be on the cover of NBA 2K8. You've seen the webpins and the diary's of fans wanting Baron on the cover, and I even put together little comps of what it could look like. With the release of 2K Sports' most anticipated NBA 2K8 Basketball game yet, I've decided to recreate and "remix" an alternate packaging of NBA 2K8 for the Xbox 360! That's right- and it's ABSOLUTELY FREE! (Game not included of course!) You wanna rock a Warriors branded NBA 2K8 cover instead of the standard cover? It's right here on GSoM and it's free! All of the info featured on the back is accurate, I got the game specs from 2K's official site (and so are the pictures!)

Simply download the file below and print that puppy up in your deskjet printer. The filesize is set to dvd packaging standards and should print on 8.5x11 paper. With my resources limited to web quality references with low res images, the file is set at 150dpi (as to 300dpi), but it prints nicely on deskjet printers set at Great quality printing alongside photo paper. Like I said, the alternate cover is free and is for promotional use only. I have no plans on making money off this as that would be illegal. Consider it a gift to GSW and 2K8 Basketball fans everywhere! If you have any questions on how I laid the cover out or why I chose specific pics, feel free to let me know. Enjoy!

Hard to come by...

I just found a legit blue ray packaging layout with the right measurements to make the 2k cover so you'll see it by tonight! I hope... I need 2 do my research on PS3 cover designs, and it basically just getting the header right lol... it's really funny for me to see more PS3 owners ask for the cover and I couldn't let those guys down... Wii owners are gonna have 2 wait a lil' longer if I decide to do a Live 08 cover... I still got mad projects on my plate lol...

Glad everyone's enjoying it... I'm just havin' fun and goin the extra mile for Warrior fans who are die hard 2k fans

The game is great except they seriously messed up Brandan Wright's skin tone. His bust is very pale and his arms and legs are a completely different and darker skin tone. It looks creepy.

Personally...

I think the 2K series steps it up every season... me and my friends live and die by 2k basketball series and have been dukin' it out for years. We don't just play the games, we talk hella smack and play hard! I expect to play anybody on GSoM to put my money where my mouth is lol! As for NBA live... after I beat a season or 2 of 2K, I jump on Live but each year theres something that gives it a step back... the graphics are hot and the dunks are supafly... but I can't get my homies to play it... been tryin for years lol...

man, i wish i could afford a next gen system. the last 2k game i played was 2k5! watching the trailer and gameplay + the excitement for the upcoming seasons makes me wanna play this game so badly. i dunno if i wanna see the review, cause it would make not being able to play unbearbale

PS3 cover now available!

Hey everyone, I took a shot at making the PS3 version... it should be okay for blue ray formatted packaging... a template was really hard to come by and a lot of my measurements were as accurate as can be... the size is a lil' smaller so forgive the bunched up space... Enjoy again!

Had 2 give Thunder his props... sorta new!

If this alternate game cover catches on, I can see 2k pulling a Gilbert Arenas and sell game official regional editions of the 2k series. You know many game developers reside in the YAY.
