2008 NBA All-Star Rook-Soph Rosters Announced

DJ Fuzzylogic will of course hit you with a fresh recap of tonight's Warrior splendor soon, but here's a quick intermission.

Everyone's looking for a little bit of this tomorrow when the 2008 NBA All-Star reserves as chosen by the coaches are announced:

Will these threads be BOOMing in the Big Easy come All-Star Sunday?

But let's not forget about the Rookie-Sophomore game rosters. Did any Warriors make the cut? Make the jump to find out.

Star-divide

Unfortunately no Warrior rookies (Brandan Wright, Marco Belinelli, and Kosta Perovic) nor sophomores (Patrick O'Bryant and Kelenna Azubuike) will be participating in the Friday night All-Star festivity. That's too bad because I'm sure you all remember what went down last year: Preview | Recap

At any rate here's the rosters [NBA.com]:

Truth be told I have no idea why Andrea Bargnani is on the soph roster. That's one spot right there that should've gone to Kaz.

Think any Warrior got snubbed from the game?

rondo
only got the spot cuz he's on the celtics.  buike should have been in his place imo.
He never stopped running!!!

Seems
fair enough. Buke is having a good year, but that West squad is pretty guard orriented and I just don't see him beating any of them out this year, partially because of playing time. I am a Warrior and Buke fan but those guards are pretty darn good.

i think
people forget that buike is technically a sophmore since he wasn't drafted

great job
jinxing BD's chances of going to the allstar game by posting his unis! :)

anyway, I hope with what BD said at the end of tonight's game, it lays to rest the whole rest vs all star game argument.  The guy wants to go, and deserves to go...HE SHOULD.

SHAME ON US WHO DIDNT VOTE ENOUGH TO ENSURE HIS SELECTION.

oh come on
you gonna tease us like that with the Baron jersey?  when i saw that i thought he was in!

Bargnani
is way worse than Rondo, Rondo puts very efficient numbers, 9 points on 49% shooting, 4 rebs and 4.6 assists, plus 1.8 steals with only 1.69 TOs, but of course people only look at points and think he sucks . Bargnani can only shoot 3s and is looking like a huge bust, not a surprise though, Colangelo has a pretty bad draft record, but I'll bet he will get a sucker team to trade him to later on.

No Noah?
On a non-Warriors note, no Joakim Noah for the rookies?

No love for the d-league?
dude, for all this hype over d-league call-ups all season, Azubuike shoulda gotten the call. how they gonna direspect the d-league like that! just goes to show what the d-league really means to the NBA.

you guys are crazy
i am a die hard dub fan but 'buke had no shot.  he barely ever plays.  he might be better than some of those guys but he plays 5 min per game.  they way the season started, when he played a lot and well, he had a chance but not now.

ask yourself this
look at the list of guards for the sophomores and tell me you wouldn't trade buke for any one of those guys?  i love kelenna and the warriors...but let's be real here..
"Oooh, watch yo biceps Buk, watch yo biceps Bukie."

Yep
Only one I would have doubts about would be Gibson, since all he can do is shoot 3s at this point. I wonder if the Cavs would be able to win 10 games in a season w/o Lebron, what a horribly botched supporting cast.

Maybe B Roye
Will make the all star game and clear a spot for Buke, since they do play the same position.

So your saying there's a chance, not good like one in a million good, or one in a thousand.

Put a little mustard on it
