Not only does September 2010 mark the sixth straight calendar month of traffic growth here at Dawg Sports, but this month has already established a new site record for visits and page views, breaking the previous mark set in January 2010 . . . and it's only the 24th! Thanks! Go 'Dawgs!

100,000 Hits

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but today, Rock Chalk Talk had its 100,000th unique visit. It was certainly an unceremonious 100,000th visit, as the visitor was, interestingly, a Missouri student. So, yeah, that's weird. And they found us in one of the weirdest ways possible, through SB Nation Missouri blog Rock M Nation's Sitemeter Referrals listing. So, yeah, that's sort of weird. I also want to give out a special shout-out to Denver, who has played a huge role in the site's recent growth. And also, many thanks go to long time commenters KGRTC and giants, and anyone else who has visited this site for any long period of time. Seriously, all of this goes to you, and while we certainly are one of the smaller blogs that exist in this giant conglomerate-of-a-blog-network, it's a blast to come on and write content, and that is because all of you. So, thanks to all of you for making this the place that it is, and hopefully we will be pushing 200,000 hits before we know it.

If someone offers to pick up my check, I immediately reach for my wallet. Because inside is a note that says, "Say thanks."

It's T-Day, and as cliche as such a thing has become, it's still important to remember that there are things in life to be thankful for. Here's my list. I'd love to hear about yours. Timely...

Tim Dierkes is Awesome

LOADS of links about the Sox' offseason plans. Have fun reading. MAJOR thanks to Tim Dierkes. Unfortunately, as a 15 year old kid, I have a lot of homework and not a lot of power to gain information. But, thankfully we have Tim Dierkes, one of the writers of MLB Trade Rumors, which has been the source of all of the rumors I've linked to so far. I hope that he continues his great work to keep us informed. Maybe over winter break I can get more in-depth with research, but for now, expect basically a RSS-like feed of stories from MLBTR, filtered by interest, or relevance to the Sox.

We Believe is Dead + Post #1065
