Great... RR and CC will meet with his agent. Were screwed. Man, Nellie likes pushing players out of town.
YES! This is even more exciting than the Warriors beat-down of the hated Utah Jazz tonight at the Roaracle. Amare to the Bay! And for the record I'd give up BOTH Monta Ellis and Andris Biedrins to get it done. Hey if the Suns want cap space, maybe they can trade for Monta and then void his deal citing Moped Gate- I kid. Our friends at the excellent CelticsBlog find this surprising? They ain't seen nothing yet!
It's not official yet and nothing's for sure till we see a press release from either the Warriors or Knicks, but here's my initial reaction: Fantastic move for the Warriors and the Knicks are really, really angling for that 2010 free agent campaign. Definitely stop by Posting and Toasting for some Knickerbocking thoughts. In the golden age of GSoM I used to append the end of every rumor with "99% of rumors never happen, but 99% of them are fun to talk about." In this piece SoulHonky breaks down "how 90% of NBA rumors are born."
"Danilo Gallinari is available during the next draft. Is he a player who can fit in with the Raptors? 'Gallinari is an optimal player. The problem is that we pick 17th this year and by that time Gallinari will have been selected by another team.' Could you make a trade to ensure a higher draft pick? 'We can, certainly, but that would not guarantee that we’d get Gallinari. Last season we tried to do the same thing to get Belinelli but it didn’t work out.' But Belinelli isn’t playing for Golden State. Considering him doesn’t seem to be out of the question. Wouldn’t you like to bring him to Toronto and have him play alongside Bargnani? 'Belinelli is a very talented player who can do well in the NBA. However, just like Bargnani, he has physical strength issues. I’m convinced that he’d integrate well in a situation such as Toronto, and that here he’d have more opportunity than he had at Golden State.'" -- Mario Cangnetta for Tandem
