Back in Time: March 19, 1972 [SI.com] Led by Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain and Jerry West, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Golden State Warriors 162-99. The 63-point margin of victory established a record for most lopsided victory in NBA history. Tonight shouldn't be that bad on TNT (fingers crossed)- although we do remember how "Unstoppable Baby!" the Warriors were the last time they were on national TV.

With Stephen "Frozone" Jackson out at least 2 weeks [Inside the Warriors], this 2008-2009 Golden State Warriors season is looking even less incredible. Props to my folks GD and DT from the mighty Fear the Beard as always.

A clear sign that We Believe is Dead and We Got Suck is Baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!? Getting beat by the Dunmurphy Sisters' backups. Yes, their backups. "Unwatchable Baby!" By the way props to T-Murph who's having a nice season, although the readers at Indy Cornrows might not agree. Despite the Charmin' softness inside I always liked that cat. Keep it locked for FJ's spectacular recap...

547 GSoMers have spoken and... there is a problem in Warriors land. The 114 who voted Nellie was the biggest problem don't seem to be ready to admit that this just isn't a very good roster right now. To those 114- name a coach who you realistically believe can take this team to the playoffs or mythically develop all this raw, untapped talent. 87 of you thought the players weren't playing hard enough. Newsflash- it isn't a lack of effort, it's a lack of talent and experience. It starts at the top (Lawsuit Cohan) and with the incompetent people making decisions they aren't qualified to make (Mullin/ Rowell). Immature liars who would rather go joyriding on The Golden State Tricycle than be out there helping their teammates aren't helping the situation either.
