Memphis rookie Marc Gasol, in his fourth career game, had 27 points and 16 rebounds in the Grizzlies' victory over the Warriors on Monday night. Gasol is the first NBA player with a 25/15 (points/rebounds) game within the first five games of his career since Shaquille O'Neal did that in November 1992.

Warriors commanding high prices...

according to a CNBC article. The Warriors boast the highest percent change in average ticket prices, up 25.3 percent!!!, and the most expensive hot dog, coming in at 5.75. I wonder how the beer ranks.

Not only does Rowell know how get money back from players, it appears he is pretty good at getting it back from the fans. Hey, at least the upped prices allowed us to keep J-Rich and Baron........

I will post my poorly researched non-substantive comments here, thanks mods

Monta punishment announced (30 games, 3mil)

Check it out on realgm.

Kawakami is going to talk about it too soon.

He is basically being suspended the extent of his injury time.  Lets hope he didn't spend all of his rookie contract on pop rocks and skittles.

Seems pretty fair to me, but will there be a backlash?  Is this an uber cheap move on Cohan's part?

It does pay for Turiaf this season.

********Kawakami originally said 4mil but then retracted.  Maybe it is because the Warriors counted the preseason as part of the 30 games?

Random: Should the Warriors have drafted a PG?

I know it is early in the year, but seeing T-Hud (written before he was pronounced done for the year by the Don) and Belinelli struggle and Lasme get cut while Monta and  Kaz thrive, I couldn't help but wonder: what if the Warriors had drafted a PG this year?

Free Throw Woes...Or is it something else?

First off, this is not intended to be an anti Ws, rant, just a look at what has been plaguing the Bay Area darlings so far this year. Also, I know you can't compare 5 games to all of last year, but looking at the numbers might show something: Somewhere between watching KAz, Monta, Baron and Biedrins brick multiple free throws and Brandon Bass going 4-4 I started to get jealous of other teams free throw shooting.  It got me thinking as to how big of a problem the charity stripe is for a team made up of athletic scorers.  I know this is not a new thing, but look at the numbers.

Question: What does the gameday roster look like?

Now that most of the roster wheeling and dealing is done (assuming Pietrus is back), the final depth chart as others have posted should look like:

Baron/Hudson/Monta
Monta/Belinelli/Azu
SJax/Pietrus/Azu
Harrington/Barnes/Wright/Lasme/Croshere
Biedrins/Perovic/POB/Croshere/Lasme

or some combination of that.
