NBA to impose fines for obvious cases of flopping

Finally. I know that I am sick of all the flopping going on in the NBA today, even though some of our Warriors are the biggest culprits. I don't know how often the league will fine a player; I'm guessing their going to just use it as a deterrent. I'll pray that it works.

Kidd going to Dallas imminent

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3250819

It's back on!

Stackhouse and George are out of the trade and have been replaced by Keith Van Horn and Trenton Hassell.    So all Dallas loses is Harris, some cash, and any financial flexibility. They keep some depth with Stackhouse.

I'm glad to see Harris leave the Western Conference, as he was one of the peskiest (not to mention annoying) point guards in the west. He was the only Maverick that could consistently get into the paint. The Mavericks now become one of the slowest teams. They are going to miss him.

On the other side, this adds a lot more drama to Warrior-Mavs games as Oakland native Jason Kidd faces his local team. The drama in the West continues.

Poll
How much does this trade help the Mavs?
  • They've regressed - won't get past first couple of rounds if they make the playoffs.
  • Championship caliber now
  • Doesn't help - Lucky to get to Western Finals

Rashard Lewis on the Trading Block?

So I was looking at ESPN.com and saw an insider article (which I couldn't look at) that said Rashard Lewis might be going to the Knicks. Then I thought, isn't he known to be a great rebounder and someone that could matchup inside? I could be wrong, but I decided to experiment with the trade machine and tried to guess what the Seattle GM would want.

So I proposed POB, Zarko, Pietrus, and Barnes for Lewis. Seattle would be getting 5 mil cap relief and  a guy who is tearing up the D-League.

My premise could be wrong, so I don't know.

Sacramento Warriors

Following Thursday's game against the Rockets, Golden State plays six straight road games and nine of the next 11 away from Sacramento. The Warriors are just 1-6 on the road, compared with a 10-5 mark at Oracle Arena.

from tonight's preview on nba.com: http://www.nba.com/games/20061214/HOUGSW/preview.html

Doesn't Oakland have an Oracle Arena Too?
